Lady Railers blank Bloomington 10-0

[May 01, 2026]  Norah Block and Laurynn Mayberry combined to toss a one-hitter on Thursday afternoon at Schweitzer Field versus the Bloomington Raiders.
 
Lincoln’s offense cranked out nine hits in the 10-0 win over Bloomington.   

 

Lincoln got on the board in the second inning with five runs. Sage Gilbert and Grey Gilbert each had singles in the inning that scored runs and Laurynn Mayberry had an RBI double. A passed ball and two errors in the inning were also in Lincoln’s favor.

In the bottom of the fifth inning the Lady Railers plated four more runs. Addy Mahler and Emma Hutchison started the inning with singles and Norah Block reached on an error to load the bases. Lily Holmes drove in a run on a ground out to first. The big hit of the inning was a triple to right by Preslee Sherren, which scored two runs. One more run scored in the inning on an error by the left fielder.

With one out in the sixth inning the Lady Railers were able to score one more run and ten-run rule the Raiders. Mahler walked with one out and Hutchison followed with a single. Block’s fielder’s choice scored the final run of the game.

Norah Block was the winning pitcher. She threw five innings, allowing one hit and one walk. She struck out three batters.

Laurynn Mayberry threw one inning in relief and she allowed one walk.

Lincoln (14-13) will play at Limestone today at 4:30 p.m.
