Lincoln Speedway set for "show of
the year" with FloRacing Night in America
[May 01, 2026]
LINCOLN, IL – The countdown is on as Lincoln Speedway
prepares to host one of the biggest dirt racing events of the
season. Just one week from now, FloRacing Night In America Presented
by Graue Chevrolet roars into central Illinois on Thursday, May 7 as
part of Illinois Speedweek, bringing together a star-studded field
of the nation’s top Super Late Model drivers to compete for a
$20,000 top prize. With a packed grandstand expected and a lineup
loaded with champions and fan favorites, the night is shaping up to
be the “Show of the Year” at the Logan County Fairgrounds.
Headlining the field is defending event winner Bobby Pierce of
Oakwood, Illinois, fresh off a dominant season that included 32
wins. He’ll be joined by fellow Illinois standout Brandon Sheppard,
a five-time World of Outlaws Late Model champion and the all-time
winningest driver in series history. Former event winner Dennis Erb,
Jr. also returns, bringing with him a World of Outlaws championship
and a Dirt Late Model Dream victory. Another past Lincoln winner,
Hudson O’Neal, headlines the national stars after capturing the 2023
World 100 and Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series championship.
Defending race winner Devin Moran returns as well after winning this
event one year ago and securing the 2025 Lucas Oil championship.
The depth of talent continues with rising star Garrett Alberson, who
broke through with major wins in 2024, and Nick Hoffman, who has
transitioned from Modified dominance into one of the top Late Model
contenders in the country. Ricky Thornton, Jr., with over 300 career
wins and more than 30 championships, adds even more firepower to the
field, while Iowa’s Ryan Gustin brings a hard-charging style backed
by a decorated career that includes over 100 USMTS victories and
multiple national wins.
Local and regional standouts will also be well represented.
Bloomington’s Jason Feger, a three-time defending DIRTcar National
Champion, has enjoyed tremendous success at Lincoln Speedway in
recent years, while Moweaqua’s Shannon Babb continues to showcase
his legendary career highlighted by over 100 Summer Nationals wins.

Texas fan favorite Tyler Erb brings both speed and
excitement, entering as the 2024 Summer Nationals champion and a
recent Lincoln winner. Joining that group is Brian Shirley of
Chatham, Illinois, a multi-time Summer Nationals and DIRTcar
National Champion who is always a factor when competing on home
soil.
Adding even more buzz to the event is the highly
anticipated appearance of Carson Hocevar, fresh off his first NASCAR
Cup Series victory at Talladega. One of the fastest-rising stars in
all of motorsports, Hocevar’s popularity has skyrocketed during his
climb to the top level of NASCAR, and he will now bring that
momentum to dirt racing fans. Hocevar is set to compete in all three
FloRacing Night In America events during Illinois Speedweek,
including the highly anticipated stop at Lincoln Speedway.

With past winners, national champions, rising
stars, and crossover talent all set to compete, the lineup for this
year’s FloRacing Night In America event is as deep as it gets. Fans
can expect intense side-by-side racing and a can’t-miss atmosphere
from start to finish.
FloRacing Night In America at Lincoln Speedway will feature a full
evening of action, with pits opening at 2:00 p.m., grandstands
opening at 3:00 p.m., hot laps at 6:00 p.m., and racing set to begin
