Abe Lincoln 4-H Shooters Hosts
Archery Celebration

The Abe Lincoln Shooters 4-H
Club offers archery through the Illinois 4-H Shooting Sports
Program, guided by a certified coordinator and aligned with national
standards. Focused on youth development, the program helps members
build life skills such as responsibility, decision-making, teamwork,
and safety.
From January through April 2026, youth ages 8–18 participated in a
six- and eight-part archery series. The program concluded with a
celebratory shoot on April 29 at Rigney’s School of Archery in
Glenarm, where participants demonstrated their skills through scored
arrow placement. Ten youth from Sangamon and Logan counties received
special recognition.

The program extends appreciation to
the dedicated volunteers who continue to support and strengthen the
Abe Lincoln 4-H Shooters archery discipline.
Youth interested in joining Abe Lincoln 4-H Shooters can contact the

year begins in September, and local club’s welcome new members.
