Abe Lincoln 4-H Shooters Hosts Archery Celebration

[May 01, 2026]  The Abe Lincoln Shooters 4-H Club offers archery through the Illinois 4-H Shooting Sports Program, guided by a certified coordinator and aligned with national standards. Focused on youth development, the program helps members build life skills such as responsibility, decision-making, teamwork, and safety.

From January through April 2026, youth ages 8–18 participated in a six- and eight-part archery series. The program concluded with a celebratory shoot on April 29 at Rigney’s School of Archery in Glenarm, where participants demonstrated their skills through scored arrow placement. Ten youth from Sangamon and Logan counties received special recognition.
