Pleasant Plains shutouts Railsplitters 5-0

[May 14, 2026]  The Lincoln Railsplitters managed just three hits in their 5-0 loss at home to the Pleasant Plains Cardinals on Wednesday afternoon.
 
Owen Comstock had two hits versus the Cardinals and Bryce Vlahovich had one hit.

 

In the top of the third inning the Cardinals scored three runs on a triple and three singles.

The Cardinals added two more runs in the top of the sixth inning on a double by Andrew Potthoff.

Preston Shultz was the winning pitcher for Pleasant Plains.

Grady Rutledge was the losing pitcher for Lincoln. He threw four and two-thirds innings, giving up six hits and three runs. He walked one and struck out three.

Tate Aue pitched two and one-third innings, allowing three hits and two runs. He struck out one batter.

Lincoln (18-9) will play North Mac on Friday at 4:30 p.m. in an away game.
