Sacred Heart-Griffin rolls past Lady Railers 16-2

[May 14, 2026]  The Cyclones were not messing around when they scored ten runs in the first inning against Lincoln on Wednesday afternoon, beating the Lady Railers 16-2.
 
Lincoln scored a run in the first inning when Laurynn Mayberry doubled and scored on a single by Addy Mahler.   

 

In the top of the third inning Lincoln scored again when Mayberry tripled to drive home Grey Gilbert, who had singled in the inning.

Lincoln did have five hits versus SHG.

Grey Gilbert and Laurynn Mayberry each had two hits.

Addy Mahler had one hit.

The offense was on fire for the Cyclones.

The ten runs scored in the first inning was enough damage but they went on to plate three runs in the second inning, two more runs in the third inning and finally a run in the fourth inning.

The Cyclones also hit two home runs.

Laurynn Mayberry took the loss for Lincoln. She threw three innings. She gave up ten hits and fifteen runs. Only nine runs were earned. She walked eight and struck out one.

Carlie Buttell pitched an inning for Lincoln, giving up one run and one walk. She struck out one batter.

Kenzie Wieland was the winning pitcher for the Cyclones. She struck out eleven Railers.

Lincoln (16-16) will play at Pontiac today at 4:30 p.m.
