Street stocks, 305 sprint cars
headline Friday night action at Lincoln Speedway
[May 15, 2026]
LINCOLN, Ill. – A big night of grassroots dirt track racing
returns to Lincoln Speedway this Friday night with the running of
the Jayne Excavating & Welding Street Stock 25 plus five additional
divisions of racing action at the Logan County Fairgrounds facility.
Headlining the evening will be the DIRTcar Street Stocks as they
make the first of three appearances at Lincoln Speedway during the
2026 season. The 25-lap feature event will pay $750 to win and is
expected to draw another talented field of competitors to the
1/4-mile dirt oval. Nick Justice and Bobby Beiler captured the two
Street Stock events contested at Lincoln Speedway one year ago,
while several Central Illinois drivers are expected to battle for
Friday night’s top prize.
Joining the action Friday night will be the first of just two
appearances this season by the 305 Winged Sprint Cars. The division
has become a fan favorite whenever they visit Lincoln Speedway with
close racing and exciting side-by-side action around the cushion.
Many of the competitors race regularly at nearby Jacksonville
Speedway and are expected to bring a talented field of drivers to
Lincoln.

The DIRTcar Pro Late Models return to action with multi-time Lincoln
Speedway champion Braden Johnson leading the standings after winning
on opening night. Ryan Miller, Brandon Sweitzer, Jacob Doolen, and
Michael Maestas currently round out the top five in points entering
Friday night’s event.
In the Taco Bell DIRTcar Modified division, Marshall Call sits atop
the standings after claiming his first career Lincoln Speedway
feature win earlier this season. Brian Diveley currently trails
closely behind in the standings while Brian Lynn, Carter Sinkhorn,
and Austin Lynn complete the current top five.

season as one of Lincoln Speedway’s staple and most entertaining
classes.
Pit gates for Friday’s event will open at 4:00 PM with grandstands
opening at 5:00 PM. Hot laps are scheduled for 6:00 PM with racing
taking the green flag at 7:00 PM. Grandstand admission is $15, while
kids 11 and under are admitted free.
