Railsplitters beat North Mac 5-1

[May 18, 2026]  Kane Komnick was on the mound for the Railsplitters Friday afternoon and his strong pitching performance helped guide Lincoln to a 5-1 win over the North Mac Panthers.
 
Komnick threw seven innings, allowing one run on eight hits. He walked one and struck out two.   

 

Lincoln was led at the plate by Grady Rutledge and Tate Aue.

Rutledge and Aue were each 2-for-4 with a run scored.

Bryce Vlahovich batted in two runs.

Lincoln scored a run in the first inning when Austin Lucas was hit by a pitch and scored on a ground out by Owen Comstock. Grady Rutledge had a single in the inning to move Lucas to third.

North Mac tied the game in the bottom of the third inning.

Lincoln took a 3-1 lead in the top of the fifth inning on a two-run single by Vlahovich.

Tate Aue singled and scored in the top of the sixth inning to increase the lead to 4-1.

Rutledge opened the seventh inning with a double and moved to third on Comstock’s single. Rutledge scored on a wild pitch and that was all the run production Lincoln needed to get the win.

Lincoln and North Mac each had eight hits and no errors.

Rutledge and Aue accounted for half of Lincoln’s hits.

Chase March, Kane Komnick, Owen Comstock and Bryce Vlahovich each had one hit for Lincoln.

Lincoln (19-9) will play Williamsville Monday at 4:30 p.m. at Mike Curry Field.
