Lady Railers win on Senior Night
[October 21, 2026]
The Lady Railers volleyball team honored four seniors on
Tuesday, October 20, 2026 ahead of the Varsity match with the
Southeast Spartans.
Emmalyn Splitter, Meghan DeVore, Paycen Schaefer and Jocelyn Perkins
were recognized along with their parents prior to the start of the
Varsity game.
The Varsity then defeated Southeast 25-19 and 25-23 with Sage
Gilbert leading the team with six kills.
In set one Lincoln jumped out to a 3-1 lead after a beautiful kill
down the line by Grace Bivin. Lincoln managed to stay in front by
two points consistently and the score was 10-8 after a kill by Sage
Gilbert. Southeast called a timeout with Lincoln up 13-10. Gilbert’s
kill from the back row made the score 17-13 and Lincoln kept it
rolling with a kill from Bivin to make the score 19-13. The Spartans
would close the gap just a bit, 19-16 the score at one point. The
Railers took advantage of a few errors by the Spartans and were able
to close the door quickly after back-to-back kills by Gilbert and
Jocelyn Perkins. One final error by the Spartans set the score at
25-19.
Set two started a lot tighter with the two teams trading points and
settling on a couple ties early on. A fantastic kill by Ashlan Bruns
landed down the line and broke a 5-5 tie. Lillybeth Braid also had a
terrific kill as the two teams battled point for point. Lincoln was
finally able to stretch out an 11-7 lead after Gilbert’s kill and an
ace by Kianna Hassebrock. The Spartans kept battling and eventually
the score was knotted 12-12. Another spectacular kill by Gilbert put
Lincoln up by a point. Gilbert was really putting the ball down.
Again the game remained point for point with six ties taking place
until the Spartans went in front 22-20. Lincoln used a kill by Bivin
to come charging back. After an error on the Spartans, Lincoln took
a 24-23 lead. Bivin ended the game with a kill into the block and
Lincoln walked away 25-23 winners.

The Lincoln JV team won 25-17 and 25-12.
The Lincoln Freshman team won 25-10 and 25-15.
Lincoln will play at Bloomington on Thursday, October 22, 2026.
