Chatham Glenwood defeats Lincoln

The Chatham Glenwood volleyball team swept the Lady Railers
on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at Roy S. Anderson Gymnasium in
Central State Eight competition.
The Titans beat Lincoln 25-11 and 25-22 in the Varsity match.
Lincoln fell behind 4-0 to start the first set. The Titans commanded
the lead throughout the set, sprinting to a 10-5 lead followed by a
15-6 advantage. The Titans offense was too dominant and with a 19-10
lead the visitors were on a roll. Set one was finally settled with a
25-11 score.
Lincoln came out in set two with great energy and got some big kills
from Grace Bivin and Sage Gilbert as the team took a 10-4 lead and
that quickly escalated to a 15-7 lead. The Titans were able to
rebound and tie the set 16-16 behind some powerful hits by Alexis
Neumann. The two teams battled to ties at 18-18 and then 21-21
before the Titans were able to get three kills down the stretch that
sealed the 25-22 win.
The Titans won the JV match in two sets, 25-23 and 25-18.
The Titans also won the Freshmen contest but Lincoln gave them three
good battles. Set one was won by the Titans 25-21. Lincoln took set
two 25-18. The Titans claimed set three 15-10.

Lincoln will play at the Edwardsville Tournament on Saturday,
September 5, 2026.
