Hartsburg-Emden beats Williamsville

The Hartsburg-Emden Stags had an impressive two-set win over
the Williamsville Bullets on Thursday, September 3, 2026 in
Hartsburg.
The Stags Varsity won 25-22 and 25-20 in front of a terrific home
crowd.
“It was just an outstanding night of volleyball,” said Stags coach
Jennifer Hayes. “We were coming into the night having played a great
first week of volleyball. We knew going into this match that it was
going to be a real test for us, early in the season, especially. I
thought the seniors really came into the match with veteran
confidence and led the match for our younger players right out of
the gate. It was so well-balanced. We are playing great team ball. I
love to see it.”
Cambelle Hopkins led the Varsity team with 11 kills.
Allie Grelck had 8 assists and 8 digs.
The Varsity improved to 7-1 on the season.
Williamsville won the JV match over Hartsburg-Emden 25-12 and 25-23.
Courtney Cecil led the JV team with 6 kills and 10 digs.
The JV fell to 2-1 on the season.
The Stags will play at Lewistown on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at
6:00 p.m.
