Amaretto Brownies

“Special brownies for a special treat.”
I package brownie mix
(eggs, water and oil amounts per package directions)
3 tablespoons amaretto liqueur, divided
1 can chocolate icing (or home-made)
1 cup sliced almonds
Mix brownies according to package directions. Stir in 2
tablespoons amaretto liqueur. Pour into pan and bake like
directed. Cool brownies after coming out of oven. Stir 1
tablespoon amaretto liqueur into chocolate icing. Ice cooled
brownies and sprinkle with almonds. Cut into squares to serve.
Note: For an extra special treat, my family likes them served
warm with French Vanilla ice cream and drizzle of hot fudge
sauce.
