“This is a large recipe from my Mother-in-law and will freeze well. They are wonderful!”

2 cups butter or oleo

4 cup sugar

8 eggs

3 cups flour (sifted)

1 1/3 cups cocoa

2 teaspoon salt

2 cups nuts, chopped (optional)

1 tablespoon vanilla

Frosting:

1 cup sugar

6 tablespoon butter

6 tablespoon milk

1/2 cup chocolate chips

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, add eggs and beat well with mixer. Add flour, cocoa and salt gradually and mix by hand until blended. Stir in nuts and vanilla. Spread into greased pans, 2 11x16 inch pans. Bake at 350° about 20 minutes. Brownies will be moist if not over baked. To make frosting; boil sugar, butter and milk for 3 minutes. Stir in chocolate chips and blend. Spread frosting onto warm brownies.
