Reading the night away

[APRIL 1, 2000]  For the second year in a row, kindergarten through fourth grade students at Chester East Lincoln are becoming closer to their family.  The second annual Reading Razzmatazz, coordinated by a teacher’s committee at CEL, was a huge success. Nearly 60 families attended last night’s event.

Spring Forward

[APRIL 1, 2000]  Don’t forget—tonight’s the night to set your clock ahead one hour.  At 2 a.m. Sunday daylight-saving time officially begins.  This event helps make better use of daylight. Studies have also shown that because there is more sunlight, people use less electricity, conserve energy and commit fewer crimes.  Daylight-saving time lasts until October 29.
