Second in LDN's 'Let's Eat' Series
New crop at the Korn Krib

[APRIL 13, 2000]  The Korn Krib on Route 121 in Latham reopened under new management on March 30. The new proprietors, Michael and Demetrios “Jimmy” Vanos of Lincoln, have leased the property and are open for business.  The restaurant’s hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays.

Lincoln College Theatre presents "Summer Brave"

[APRIL 13, 2000]  The last performance of the season for the Lincoln College Theatre Department is the comedy-drama “Summer Brave,” to be presented April 13 through 16 at the Johnston Center for the Performing Arts.  The drama is playwright William Inge’s rewritten version of his Pulitzer Prize-winning “Picnic.”

The greatest time 
of the year
[APRIL 13, 2000]  Is there anything better than this time of year?  The end of the college basketball season and the road to the Final Four is purely hoops heaven.  Then you start off the baseball season with a Cardinals-Cubs series!  With the possible exception of an Illini-Indiana, Illini-Michigan or an Illini-Iowa grudge match, there’s not a better rivalry in sports. I don’t care what the Bosox, Yankees, the NBA or the NHL will tell you, it just doesn’t get any better than the Birds and the Cubbies mixing it up! And if the NCAA basketball tournament and the start of the major league baseball season are not enough for you, why not try on the Masters golf tournament for size?
