Some
ladies were chatting it up the other day when someone threw out
the question, "What is moonshine?" The others, all
thinking the same thing –- illegal liquor made in a still –-
were laughing it up when she said, "When the moon comes out
at night."

Ag/Chem guy, Big Al, well known to local farmers, says this:
"A farmer read the label on a seed corn bag and it said ‘Keep
in a cool dry place.’ So he planted it!"

beauticians at Fabulous are already missing a great Lincoln gal,
Barb Cecci. Barb works at Dr. Drake’s office and will be moving
to Memphis, Tenn. She’s been a vital part of this community and

It
used to be Thanksgiving to New Year's; the season gets longer all
the time.

ad hoc Downtown Beautification Society wants to thank Zane Shelton
at Neal Tire for finally taking his Christmas lights down, or was
he putting them up early?

Names
that get attention
There’s
been a suggestion made to LDN. In order to capture the attention
of first-time readers, we could rename ourselves Lincoln Daily
Nudes. Thanks, friend. We think maybe we’ll stick with the name Lincoln
Daily News for now.

Ever
been under the gun to get things done?
The
newest LDN employee continues keeping us in humor. She is working
hard at two jobs and school –- a very busy gal. The other day
she asked, "What time is it? Do you know anything about the
Alzheimer’s article coming in?"
I
answered both her questions.
Two
minutes later she asked again, "Do you know what time it
is?"
I
couldn’t contain my giggles. Maybe we’ll have to get a big old
clock for the office.
