Thanks for Family Fun Night story

4-16-00

Dear Editor:

Thank you for the April 14th article about the Lincoln Junior High School PTO Family Fun Night.  It is refreshing to get the media interested in something positive and non-controversial that is going on at the school.

The reporter, Kym C. Ammons-Scott, was very professional and courteous.  She took the time to find out the real story behind the event.  She also took the time to visit with parents and students and listen to what they had to say.

I am looking forward to reading the Lincoln Daily News in the future.  I wish you luck in the future.

Sincerely,
Curt Nettles

Just wanted to thank you

To the editor:

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the wonderful article about our new Restaurant at the Depot.

And, yes, I am sincere when I say I am happy to be here! One of the major reasons for this sincerity lies in the welcoming spirit of friendship I've witnessed from citizens and other business owners in Lincoln. From the Steffens family at Eckerts, John and Frankie Guzzardo, Suzie Fuhrer at the Blue Dog, to Chef Warren Wendlandt at the Lincoln College and Joyce Kinzie from the Maple Club, from Dale Alig at Steak and Shake, also the crews at the Arcade and Cracker Barrel, and from many others, such as Dr. David and Grace Hepler, Terry and Becky Werth, Steen and Cheryl Spove, Bob and Joan Graue, Burke and Carol Miller and all the investors, and so many, many others, I've received a warm welcome and a hearty greeting.

I share in their enthusiasm in making Lincoln a more attractive place to live and to visit. It is already a neat place. I'm pleased that so many people want to make it even better. Once more, thank you Lincoln!

Jeffrey Tendick
The Restaurant at the Depot.
