Earl
E. Hendrickson, 84, of Lincoln died at 5:10 a.m. Friday, April 21,
2000, at the Christian Village in Lincoln.
Funeral
services will be Tuesday, April 25, at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel
Lutheran Church in Lincoln with the Rev. Joseph Bleakley
officiating.
Burial
will be in Green Hill Cemetery, San Jose.
Visitation
will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home in Lincoln.
Hendrickson
retired from Eaton Corporation in Lincoln. He had worked in the
receiving department.
He
was born May 6, 1915, at Lincoln, a son of Emil and Tillie (Johnson)
Hendrickson. He married Virginia Dunn, who preceded him in death. He
later married Hazel Koester Smith. She died in 1981.
Surviving
are two daughters, Judy (and Donald) Ely of Cleveland, Tenn., and
Marcia Patterson of St. Louis, Mo.; one stepdaughter, Sandra (and
David) Mills of East Peoria; six grandchildren and three
stepgrandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and seven
step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Ralph Hendrickson of Lincoln;
and two sisters, Mildred Berryman and Esther Katz, both of Lincoln.
He
was preceded in death by his parents, both wives and one son, Tom.
He
was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Lincoln, Moose Lodge and
Eagles Lodge #2708.

may be made to Lincoln Christian Village or Immanuel Lutheran
Church.

Frederick
H. "Fritz" Koester Sr., 82, of Lincoln died at 9:26 a.m.
Thursday, April 20, 2000, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
Funeral
services will be Monday, April 24, at 10:30 a.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Burial,
with military rites, will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Visitation
will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home in Lincoln with the Rev. William Adam and the Rev. Kirk
Cunningham officiating.
Koester
was retired from farming in West Lincoln Township.
He
was a U.S. Air Force fighter pilot during World War II.
He
was born March 2, 1918, at New Holland, a son of Harry F. and
Matilda (Miller) Koester. He married Nellie Mae Moos, Nov. 3, 1943,
in Lincoln. She survives, in Lincoln.
Also
surviving are one daughter, Susan (and William) Pirtle of Lincoln;
two sons, Frederick H. Koester Jr. of Lincoln and Gary Koester or
Moorehaven, Fla.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren;
one brother, Harold Koester of New Holland; and two sisters, Mildred
Johnson and Louise Wolpert, both of Lincoln.
He
was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one infant
brother.
He
was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Lincoln, the American Legion
of New Holland, the VFW of Lincoln, the 367 fighter group and the
392 fighter squadron.
