Kenson
Banks Fuller, 58, of El Paso, formerly of Bloomington and Lincoln,
died at 8:45 a.m. Sunday, July 30, 2000, at BroMenn Hospital in
Bloomington.
Private
family services will be at a later date. Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln is in charge of arrangements. Fuller donated
his body to science. There is no visitation.
Fuller
had been an engineer at Fuller Seed Co. in Lincoln before his
retirement.
He
was born Dec. 25, 1941, in Bloomington to Kenneth E. Fuller and
Marjorie Banks Fuller. He married Elizabeth Stringer.
Surviving
are one daughter, Marilyn Fuller Humphrey of Rochester, Minn.; his
father, Kenneth Fuller of Bloomington; his mother, Marjorie Banks
Fuller of Bloomington; one brother, John Fuller of Littleton, Colo.;
and two sisters, Mary Ruth Myers of Round Hill, Va., and Joann
Duncan of Bloomington.
He
was preceded in death by his grandparents and an infant brother.
He
was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Normal and
previously a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lincoln.
He sang in the choir at both churches.
He
was a graduate of Lincoln Community High School and of the
University of Illinois, where he majored in electrical engineering.
In
lieu of flowers, memorials are to be made to the United Way or the
First United Methodist Church on North School Street in Normal.

Hieser
Michael
W. Hieser (Major USAF, retired), 61, died at his home in Round Rock,
Texas, at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2000.
Memorial
services will be at the Hopedale (Ill.) Methodist Church on Aug. 19.
He was
born Aug. 21, 1938, to Wilmer and Alice (Naffziger) Hieser of
Hopedale. He attended Hopedale schools and graduated from Bradley
University in Peoria with a degree in industrial engineering. He
joined the United States Air Force, where he served for 23 years,
retiring his commission at Holloman Air Force Base, N.M., in April
of 1982. His service to his country included Vietnam, Korea, Japan,
Italy, Iran and several bases in the United States.
He
married Fern L. Geist on Nov. 29, 1973, in Hampton, VA.
He is
survived by his wife; three sons, Richard Paul (and Teri) Hieser of
Elgin, Robert Phillip (and Sandra) Hieser of Indianapolis, and
Ronald Patrick (and Cheryl) Hieser of Austin, Texas; six
grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his mother, of Hopedale; a
sister, Joan Crabb of Lincoln; and two brothers, John E. (and
Sharon) Hieser of Armington and Thomas C. Hieser of Hopedale.
He was
preceded in death by his father.
He was
a 30-year member of the Society for the Preservation and
Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in American (SPEBSQSA)
and had been a member of the Hopedale Methodist Church.

Ruth
L. Rice, 98, of Lincoln, died at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2000,
at the Christian Village in Lincoln.
Funeral
services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Tom Gerdts officiating.
Burial
will be in Union Cemetery, Lincoln.
Visitation
will be for two hours prior to the services at the funeral home on
Saturday.
Mrs.
Rice was a housewife.
She
was born Jan. 9, 1902, to John and Amanda (Luster) Stilley in
Marion. She married James A. Rice in Harco on May 8, 1920.
Surviving
are a niece, Pansy Pirtle Parrish of Lincoln; a nephew, Cleo Holmes
of Lincoln; a great-niece, Janis (and Jack) Crane of Lincoln; a
great-nephew, Bill (and Susan) Pirtle of Lincoln; and other nieces,
nephews and cousins.
She
was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers and sisters.
She was the last of her immediate family.
She
was a member of Lincoln Christian Church and the Eastern Star–Daughters
of the Nile.

Cumstay

B. Cumstay, 74, of Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Lincoln, died at
10:30 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 2000, at Memorial Hospital in
Jacksonville, Fla.
Funeral
services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, at Kerrigan Funeral
Home in Lincoln with the Rev. Steven Bird officiating.
Burial
with military rites will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lincoln.
There
will be no visitation.
Cumstay
had been employed by the city of Jacksonville in the housing and
urban development program.
He
was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
He
was born Oct. 12, 1925, in Lincoln to Richard and Victoria (Sumski)
Cumstay. He married Helen Furray in Terre Haute, Ind., in 1947. She
survives.
He
was preceded in death by his parents and by one daughter in infancy.
He
was a member of the Jacksonville American Legion and Elks Club.
Memorials
