The San Jose Fire Department was out in force to demonstrate their
equipment and explain about how they work to safeguard the public.

The San Jose Police department and MADD demonstrate the difficulties
of safe driving while being intoxicated. Participants were required
to
drive a tight course, then drive the same course while wearing
special goggles which simulate the limited vision intoxicated people
have. [Editor’s note: This was a great demonstration. They made me drive the course with the goggles on, and I was
amazed at how difficult it really was.]
