Dorothy Mullins

Dorothy M. Mullins, 83, of Lincoln died at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 2 p.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Tom Gerdts officiating.

Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Mullins retired from Ball Foster Glass Co. (bottle factory) in Lincoln. She was a foster grandparent at Lincoln Developmental Center.

She was born Feb. 23, 1917, at Atlanta to Fred and Grace (Irvin) Phillips. She married Vernon Mullins on Sept. 5, 1935, at Lincoln. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are six grandchildren, Harley Mullins of Lincoln, Joseph Morris of Gilbert, Ariz., Michael Mullins of Stonington, Susan Castile of Thomasboro, Jimmy Morris of Lincoln and Kimberly Morris of Lincoln; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four daughters and one son.

She was a member of Lincoln Christian Church and the Rebekah Lodge.

Barbara Berker

Barbara A. Berker, 67, of Lincoln, formerly of Roselle, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Nov. 30, at Countryside Funeral Home, Bartlett.

Cremation was at Elm Lawn Crematory.

Mrs. Berker was born April 7, 1933, in Chicago to John and Gladys Moody.

Surviving are her husband, John R. Berker; four children, Michael (and Lorrie) Castelvecchi of Cary, Janet (and Kenneth) Chirko of Aurora, Karen (and Jeff) Beers of Hanover Park and Nancy (and Frank) Schumacher of Elgin; three stepsons, Dan Berker of Lincoln, John D. (and Beverly) Berker of New Holland, Ohio, and Paul L. Berker of Lindenhurst; seven grandchildren, Douglas, T (? unclear), Christine, Kyle, Stephanie, Nicole and Gina; one brother, John (and Georgia) Moody of Tucson, Ariz.; and one sister, Phyllis Lucceshi of Phoenix, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Christopher.

Edna Correll

Edna Correll, 69, of Lincoln, died at 2 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, at her home.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Robert Henderson officiating.

Burial will be in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Correll was a homemaker.

She was born June 15, 1931, at Jacksonville to Hubert and Helen (Long) Coop. She married Max Jr. Correll on April 17, 1948, in Jacksonville. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, Mark Correll of Lincoln; two daughters, Karen Cohen of Lincoln and Pam (and Walt) Ellegood of Lincoln; nine grandchildren, Lora Chrusciel, George Shanle, Zachary Correll, Stephanie Ellegood, Jason Correll, Jake Shanle, David Ellegood and Katie Ellegood; three great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Linda (and Kenny) Wood of Jacksonville, Bonnie (and Dick) Roodhouse of Franklin and Aleene Eyers of Morrisonville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
