Wilford
"Willie" L. Tendick, 86, of Mount Pulaski died at 9:15
a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, at Vonderlieth Living Center.
Funeral
services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, at Zion Lutheran
Church in Mount Pulaski, with the Rev. Paul Droegemueller
officiating.
Burial
will be at Mount Pulaski Cemetery, with military rites at the
graveside.
There
will be no visitation.
Tendick
farmed in the Mount Pulaski area for many years.
He
was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving from March 1941
until November 1945. He attained the rank of staff sergeant and
was awarded three Bronze Stars for his service in the Pacific
Theater.
He
was born Sept. 3, 1913, at Mount Pulaski, a son of John H. and
Minnie E. {Zelle} Tendick. He married Mildred Over March 6, 1950,
at Elkhart. She survives.
Also
surviving are several nieces and nephews.
He
was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one
sister.
He
was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Mount Pulaski, Scroggin-Gee
VFW Post 777 and Ryman-Fuiten American Legion Post #447.
In
lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to his church or to the
World War II National Memorial Fund.

Kirby Gardner
Wanda
Kirby Gardner, 85, of Lincoln, died at 3:55 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18,
2000, at Maple Ridge Care Centre in Lincoln.
Memorial
services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 4, at Friendship Manor
in Lincoln, with the Rev. Larry Maffett officiating.
Burial
will be in Harmony Cemetery, Beason.
Visitation
will be one hour prior to the service at Friendship Manor, 925
Primm Road.
Mrs. Gardner was a
local author and artist.
She was born July
25, 1914, at Clinton, a daughter of Irvin and Sammie Pearl (Byerly)
Kirby. She married John P. Gardner Feb. 22, 1935, at Decatur. He
died March 1, 1998.
Surviving are two
daughters, Mary Jo Gardner and Martha R. (and Ralph) Gosda, all of
Lincoln; two sons, Thomas J. (and Dee) Gardner of Springfield and
John W. "Bill" (and Virginia) Gardner of Lincoln; six
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Nona
Hunt of Kenney, Rose Humphrey of Booneville, Mo., and Ruth Brady
of Fort Myers, Fla.
She was preceded in
death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and four
sisters.
She was a
contributor to art in general and an educator seeking to inspire
children aspiring to become authors. She had received local and
statewide recognition for her paintings as well as her writings.
She had won many awards for her paintings at the Logan County
Fair.
She attended
Deaconess Nursing School for two years.
She was a member of
Beason United Methodist Church and the church's Kum Join Us class.
She was also a member of the Illinois Poetry Society,
Toastmaster's Club, a member and past president of the Women's
Club of Logan County and a charter member of Beason Home
Extension.
Memorials

Dean Dabbs, infant, of Lincoln, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, at
Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.
He
was born Feb. 12, 2000, in Lincoln, a son of Kevin Dean and Terry
(Melton) Dabbs.
He
is survived by his parents; one brother, Christopher Dabbs,
and one sister, Jessica Dabbs, both of Lincoln (at home); and his
paternal grandmother, Nancy Dabbs of Lincoln.
He
was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Dabbs, and
by his maternal grandparents, George and Dorothy Melton.
Private
graveside services will be Thursday, Feb. 24, at Zion Cemetery,
Lincoln.

Ingram, 42, of Lincoln, died at 11:28 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000,
at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
Funeral

Barry Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ray Hudson officiating.
Visitation
will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.
She
was born Nov. 20, 1957, at Lincoln, a daughter of Donald Dean and
Geneva (Spurling) Ingram.
Surviving
are one son, Travis Dean Ingram of Lincoln; her mother, Geneva
Ingram of Lincoln; one grandson, Jordan Hobbs Ingram; and two
brothers, Mark Steven Ingram and Dennis Ray Ingram, both of
Lincoln.
She
was preceded in death by her father, Donald Dean Ingram, and one
brother, David Dean Ingram.
She
was of the Protestant faith.

Crowell
was retired from Lincoln Developmental Center Laundry Department.
He
was born July 5, 1911, at Carbondale, a son of Charlie and Maggie
Crowell. He married Nevada Faye Watson Aug. 23, 1930, at
Carbondale. She died Nov. 20, 1992.
Surviving
are three sons, Calvin (and Mary) Crowell, Jack (and Linda)
Crowell and Bill (and Katy) Crowell, all of Lincoln; one
daughter-in-law, Joyce Crowell of Lincoln; 35 grandchildren; 52
great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
He
was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three sons, two
daughters, five grandchildren, one brother and one sister.
He
was a member of Lincoln Southern Baptist Church.

Rademaker, 69, of Hartsburg, died at 8:45 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30,
2000, at Pekin Living and Rehabilitation Center in Pekin.
Memorial
services will be this Saturday, Feb. 26, at St. John's Lutheran
Church in Hartsburg, with the Rev. Darby Lawrence officiating.
Miss
Rademaker was a bookkeeper and clerical secretary for many years.
She
was born Feb. 9, 1930, at Hartsburg, a daughter of Nonnie L. and
Grace H. (Behrends) Rademaker.
She
is survived by one sister, Maxine Ryan of Pekin; nieces and
nephews, David E. Ryan of Pekin, Julie Brandt of Hopedale, Mona
DeBoer of Pekin and Shelly Allen of Lincoln; and great-nieces and
nephews, Ryan and Brooke DeBoer of Pekin and Tracy and Kristina
Allen of Lincoln.
She
was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Phyllis
Rademaker.
She
was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Hartsburg.
