Earl Evelhoch, 83, of Lincoln, died at
12:08 a.m. Monday, January 24, 2000, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Funeral
services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 27, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Paul Gilmore officiating.
Burial
with military rites will be at Zion Cemetery, Lincoln.
Visitation
will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr.
Evelhoch retired in 1975 as manager of Kroger's in Lincoln. He was
an avid bowler.
He
served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1945.
He
was born Dec. 7, 1916, in Berlin Township, a son of Thomas and Edith
(Cater) Evelhoch. He married Abigail Croisant June 3, 1937, at
Peoria. She survives.
Also
surviving are one daughter, Donna (and Mickey) Robinson of Lincoln;
one son, Robert "Bucky" (and Fern) Evelhoch of Wheaton;
three brothers, Robert Evelhoch of Peru, Ill., and Clifford Evelhoch
and Harvey Evelhoch, both of Spring Valley; one sister, Jean Verda
of Granville; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He
was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Thomas Evelhoch; and
two sisters.
Mr.
Evelhoch was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Lincoln,
Princeton Masonic Temple, Railsplitter Coin Club, American Legion
Post #263, Moose Lodge of Lincoln, and Eagles Lodge #2708 of
Lincoln.

Ann Hickey, 96, of Lincoln, died at 9:40 p.m. Friday, January 21,
2000, at Kraus Retirement Home in Lincoln.
Funeral
services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 26, at Holy Family
Church in Lincoln, with the Rev. Robert Hoffmann officiating.
Burial
will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Lincoln.
Visitation

Home in Lincoln, with the rosary at 6 p.m.
Mrs.
Hickey retired after 18 years as a seamstress at Lincoln Garment
Factory.
She
was born May 9, 1903, in Logan County, a daughter of Frank and
Frederica (Lohrenz) Mathein. She married John P. Hickey September 4,
1926, in Lincoln. He preceded her in death November 22, 1960.
Surviving
are one son, Eugene (and Betty) Hickey of Lincoln; one daughter,
Josephine (and Robert) Bishop of Lincoln; 12 grandchildren; 38
great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-
grandchildren.
She
was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother; seven
sisters; and two great-great-grandsons. She was the last of her
immediate family.
Mrs.
Hickey was a member of Holy Family Church in Lincoln.

E. Robinson, 85, of Beason died at 8:35 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21, 2000,
at Maple Ridge Care Centre in Lincoln.
Funeral
services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 29, at
St. John United Church of Christ in Lincoln, with the Rev. Richard
Reinwald officiating.
Burial
will be at New Union Cemetery, Lincoln.
Visitation
will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Mrs.
Robinson was a former cook at DeWitt County Nursing Home in
Hallsville, a former Avon representative in the Beason area, and a
homemaker. She was an avid gardener.
She was born October
15, 1914, at Gibson City, a daughter of Max R. and Louisa A. (Hass)
Begolka. She married Vernet G. Robinson December 16, 1936, at Atlanta.
He died August 29, 1998.
She is survived by two
sons, Marvin (and Gail) Robinson of Charleston and Dwayne (and Cheryl)
Robinson of Champaign; one daughter, Sylvia Barry of Charleston; one
brother, Raymond Begolka of Lincoln; and one sister, Ann Loercher of
Lincoln.
She was preceded death
by her parents; husband; three brothers, Arthur Begolka, Walter
Begolka and Harry Begolka; and two sisters, Emma Opperman and Lillie
Begolka.
Mrs.
Robinson was a member of the Beason United Methodist Church, the
United Methodist Women, and the Logan County Farm Bureau Home
Extension. She was a former Sunday School superintendent.

D. Fitzpatrick, 67, of Lincoln died at 11:40 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20,
2000, at his home.
Funeral

in Lincoln, with the Rev. Thomas Taylor officiating.

with military rites will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Lincoln.

will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Kerrigan Funeral Home in Lincoln,
with the rosary and wake service at 4 p.m.
Mr. Fitzpatrick
owned and operated Bob Fitzpatrick Plastering in Lincoln for 26
years.
He was a U.S. Navy
veteran.
He
was born April 7, 1932, in Lincoln, a son of Joseph and Agnes (Dettmer) Fitzpatrick. He married Lela Wyse January 17, 1959, in
Lincoln. She survives.
Also
surviving are three sons, Kevin Fitzpatrick of Riverton, and Kurt
Fitzpatrick and Kendall Fitzpatrick, both of Lincoln; one daughter,
Karen Wilson of Louisville, Ky.; six grandchildren; 2
step-grandchildren; and two brothers, Gregory Fitzpatrick of Lincoln
and Edward Fitzpatrick of Joliet.
Two
brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
Mr.
Fitzpatrick was a member of Holy Family Church, a member and past
Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus, a member of American Legion
Post 263, and of Elks Lodge, all in Lincoln.
