Mary
Elizabeth O達rien, 92, of Mount Pulaski died at 9:04 a.m. Monday,
July 17, 2000, at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mount Pulaski.
Funeral
services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 20, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski, with the Rev. Jack Lawrence
officiating.
Burial
will be in Bower-Templeman Cemetery, rural Lincoln.
Visitation
will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in Mount
Pulaski.
Mrs.
O達rien was a housewife.
She
was born Feb. 16, 1908, at Mount Pulaski, a daughter of George and
Effie (Fryer) Zimmerman. She married Lawrence "Toby" O達rien
on March 17, 1930, in Mount Pulaski. He died Oct. 19, 1975.
Surviving
are three sons, Bill (and Winnie) O達rien of Lincoln, Larry O達rien
of Mount Pulaski and Danny O達rien of Mount Pulaski; one daughter,
Nancy (and Loren) Mittelsteadt of Mount Pulaski; seven
grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four
great-great-grandchildren.
She
was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and four sisters.
She was the last of her immediate family.
She
was a member of St. John痴 Lutheran Church of Mount Pulaski.
Memorials
may be made to her church.

Markum
Leon
Markum, 61, of rural Atlanta died at 6 a.m. Monday, July 17, 2000,
at Bartmann Health Care Center, rural Atlanta.
There
will be no visitation or service.
Burial
was at Niblick Cemetery, rural Lincoln.
Markum
was a former mechanic at P.C. Limited in Latham.
He
was born March 23, 1939, at Murphysboro, Tenn., a son of Joe Elmer
Thrasher and Frances Markum Estes.
Surviving
are his mother, of Bartmann Health Care Center; one brother, Charles
Edward Estes of Litchfield; one niece, Stephanie Ward of Lincoln;
and two nephews, Bill Estes of Litchfield and Stephen Estes of
Niantic.
He
was preceded in death by his father.
