Marjorie
E. Colegrove, 78, of Lincoln died at 3:45 a.m. Wednesday, July 19,
2000, at Maple Ridge Health Care Center in Lincoln.
Funeral
services will be Saturday, July 22, at 11 a.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Larry Maffett officiating.
Burial
will be in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln.
Visitation
will be one hour before the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
Mrs.
Colegrove was retired from Lincoln Developmental Center, where she
worked as a technician.
She
was born March 19, 1922, in Pawnee, a daughter of Alonzo and Jesse (Taulbee)
Warren. She married Lewis Colegrove Sr. on June 5, 1948, in
Taylorville. He died Nov. 16, 1997.
Surviving
are one son, Lewis (and Pat) Colegrove Jr. of Lincoln; one daughter,
Cindy (and Mike) Veselak of Bloomington; seven grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; one brother, Thomas Warren of Edinburg; and two
sisters, Midge Paglaii of Bulpitt and Betty Cook of Danville.
She
was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and
one sister.
She
was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lincoln.
Memorials
may be made to her church or the donor’s choice.

Billy
G. Shelby, 65, of Lincoln died at 5:38 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2000,
at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
A
graveside service will be Friday, July 21, at 1 p.m. at Maple Hill
Cemetery in Sesser.
Visitation
will be from 4 to 8 p.m Thursday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home in Lincoln.
He
retired in 1997 as a sergeant in the Lincoln Police Department.
He
was born April 9, 1935, at Marion. His parents were Rufus N. Shelby
and Alta Hill Hudson. He married Sharon Ann Ritchie on Oct. 1, 1982,
in Lincoln. She survives, in Lincoln.
Also
surviving are one son, Bill (and Karen) Shelby of Lincoln; seven
daughters, Gina Shelby of Lincoln, Cindy (and David) Robinson of
Marion, Kimberly (and Audie) Murphy of Carterville, Cindy (and
Donald) Ozee of Herod, Lynn (and Kevin) Harris of Melbourne, Fla.,
Christine (and Carl) Robbins of Payson, Ariz., and Susan (and
George) Marshall of Cave In Rock; 11 grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; one brother, Leo Shelby of Sesser; and three
sisters, Bertha Deichman of West Frankfort, Pearl Russell of Kevil,
Ky., and Hazel Owens of Lincoln.
He
was preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother.
He
was of the Baptist faith.
He
was a U.S. Army veteran.
He
was a member of the Illinois Police Association, Lincoln Lodge #210,
York Rite Bodies and a life member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
Memorials
may be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude’s Children’s
Hospital or Hospice of Central Illinois.
