Tari Sue Doehring and Andrew Joseph Acebal exchanged rings and vows Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999, at Park United Methodist Church, Bloomington. The Rev. Paul Newhall performed the 5 p.m. ceremony. Tari, of Mundelein, was given in marriage by her father. She is the daughter of August and Mary Doehring of Fayetteville, Tenn., and John and Alice Wilmert of Lincoln. Andrew, of Fox River Grove, is the son of Henry Acebal of Chicago and Andrew and Gerri Orgler of Fox River Grove. Eden Doehring, sister-in-law of the bride, and Jennifer Schneider were matrons of honor. Serving as bridesmaids were Dana Wilmert, stepsister of the bride; Kristen Fitzpatrick; Wendi Doehring, sister-in-law of the bride; and Sherry Orgler, sister-in-law of the groom. The flower girls were Sarah and Emily Doehring, nieces of the bride. Jason Acebal and David Acebal, brothers of the groom, served as best men, accompanied by Todd Doehring and Troy Doehring, brothers of the bride, and Brian Orgler and Michael Orgler, stepbrothers of the groom. The ringbearer was Jacob Doehring, nephew of the bride. Juan Rivera and Tom Oviatt served as ushers. A reception was held at Jumer’s Chateau in Bloomington, and the newlyweds honeymooned in the Bahamas. The couple now resides in Lincoln. Tari is a 1991 graduate of Lincoln Community High School and a 1995 graduate of Illinois State University in Normal, with a bachelor of science degree in accountancy. She is employed by Miller Cooper and Co. Ltd. in Northbrook as a certified public accountant. Andrew is a 1991 graduate of St. Patrick High School in Chicago and a 1995 graduate of ISU, with a bachelor of science degree in marketing. He is employed by River North Sales and Service in Chicago as an operations manager.
Leann Michelle James, daughter of Leroy and Vera James of Emden, and Todd Michael Knollenberg, son of John and Janice Knollenberg of Lincoln, exchanged rings and vows Saturday, Sept. 11, 1999. The ceremony was performed at 5 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Emden with the Rev. Darby Lawrence presiding. The father of the bride gave her away in marriage. Sandra Born was the maid of honor, accompanied by bridesmaids Lori Watson and Lisa Dierker, sisters of the bride. Karen Rohlfs, sister of the groom, Laura Winkleman, Katie Totel and Jamie Richter were also in attendance. A niece of the bride, Kristen Dierker, was the special attendant. Holly Knollenberg, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, was the personal attendant. Kayla Dierker and Chelsea Knollenberg were flower girls. Darren Seaman served as Todd’s best man. The groomsmen included Troy Knollenberg, brother of the bridegroom, Eric Leever, Aaron Klockenga, Chris Bridges, Brian Hill and Ryan Albritton, cousin of the bridegroom. Seating the guests were Richard Dierker and Thomas Watson, brothers-in-law of the bride, Rodney Maddock, uncle of the groom, and Michael Rohlfs, brother-in-law of the groom. The nephew of the bride, Tommy Watson, served as ringbearer. Following a dinner and dance reception at the Knights of Columbus Hall, the newlyweds honeymooned in Negril, Jamaica. The couple now resides in Lincoln. Todd graduated from Lincoln Community High school, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in aviation from St. Louis University. He is currently employed at MII in Jacksonville, Illinois, as well as being the co-owner of J&R Nursery and Landscape company here in Lincoln. Leann is a graduate of Hartsburg-Emden High School, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Illinois Wesleyan in Bloomington. She is employed as a registered nurse at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Alvin and Teresa Klockenga of Lincoln will have their 40th wedding anniversary on Feb. 27. They were married at St. Patrick's Church in Lincoln by Father Daniel Monaghan Feb. 27, 1960. Their attendants were Elizabeth Patterson of Bloomington and Vernon Klockenga of Lincoln. They are the parents of Kathy Buse of Beason; Patty Huffer and Chris Klockenga, both of Lincoln; Anne Pochel of Bloomington; and Mary Giroux of Normal. They have nine grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of their 40 years. The observance will be Saturday, March 4, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Moose Lodge in Lincoln. Please bring no

Stanley and Phyllis Struebing of Emden will observe their golden anniversary on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000. A family vacation at Pheasant Run will celebrate the milestone at a later date. Stan Struebing and Phyllis Cross were married at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Emden on Feb. 19, 1950, with Pastor John Detjen officiating. Betty Ann Krusemark and Robert Struebing were the attendants. The Struebings are parents of Cathy (Rick Cross) of Minier; Faye (Jim Wickliffe) of Mahomet; and Susanne (Jim Dornbusch) of Califon, N.J. They have eight grandchildren: Angela (Kevin Staubus), Bradley (Holly), Tony and Brent Cross, Jeffrey and Brian Wickliffe, and Tyler and Tina Dornbusch. They also have one great-granddaughter, Lauryn Cross. Stan retired from farming and the Hartem Bus Service in 1991, and Phyllis retired as secretary at Hartsburg-Emden High School the same year.
The family of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Payne of 1500 Tremont Park hosted a luncheon at Jumer’s Chateau in Bloomingon in honor of their 50th wedding anniversary. Jo Anne Teaney and Floyd Payne were married Feb. 4, 1950, at Hartsburg Christian Church, with the Rev. Clifford Iubelt officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Payne are the parents of Roger Payne of Normal; Kerry and Reggie Payne, and Robyn Redfairn, all of Lincoln. They have nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The Paynes are retired, Floyd from Pittsburg Plate Glass and Jo Anne after 28 years as a self-employed day care worker.

CHLOE ELAINE TUNGATE, daughter of Melissa Laubenstein and Gregory Tungate of Emden, was born Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000. She weighed 10 lbs. 6 oz. She is a sister to Emilie Marie Tungate, 4½. Emilie's grandparents are Chris and Clyde Tungate of Champaign and Rue and Gloria Tungate of Union. Great-grandparents are Ina Smith of Lincoln, Mary Louise Tungate of Lincoln, Edward Karrick of Pana, Robert and Bonnie Smith of Monticello and Oscar and Flo Tungate of Bradfordsville, Ky. Bessie Palmer of Lincoln is Emilie's great-great-grandmother. ASHLEY NICOLE HALL, daughter of Gayle and Larry Hall of Atlanta, was born Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000. She weighed 7 lb. 14 oz. She is a sister to Collin, 9. Her maternal grandparents are Harold and Donna Henrichsmeyer of Lincoln. Ella Marie Hall of Greenview is her paternal grandmother. Her great-grandmother is Erna Henrichsmeyer. DEVON LEE ANDERECK, daughter of Laura and Larry Andereck of San Jose, was born Monday, Feb. 7, 2000. She weighed 7 lb. 7 oz. She is a sister to Michele, 8. Maternal grandparents are Bill and Nancy Hayden of San Jose. Bill and Pat Andereck of East Peoria are paternal grandparents. Great-grandparents are Phyllis Hofmann and Eldora Merritt. Devon shares her middle name with her father's uncle. KASANDRA LYNN ESKEW, daughter of Kimberly L. and William R. Eskew of Hartsburg, was born Monday, Feb. 7, 2000. Her siblings are Billy Eskew, 10, Kristyn Taylor, 7, and Devon Taylor, 5. Kasandra's maternal grandparents are Sandra Wilcox of Hartsburg and Cliff and Donna Wilcox of Chillicothe. Paternal grandparents are Verl and Kathy Prather of Lincoln and Bill and Nancy Eskew of Cornland. George and Florence Lolling, Eva Davis and Bill and Norma Eskew are great-grandparents. JOSHUA DANIEL MOTTA, son of Cherilynn and Kenneth Motta of Lincoln, was born Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. He weighed 7 lb. 6 oz. Joshua is a brother to Timothy, 15, Thain, 13, Jayme, 12, Joseph, 4, Dominic, 3, and Zachariah, 20 months. His maternal grandparents are William and Carole Purciarello of Orland Hills. Jean Motta of Rensselaer, Ind., is his paternal grandmother. Angeline Nugent of Chicago Ridge is his great-grandmother.

Tom and Christie McMinn of Mattoon announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Elizabeth, to Jason Lynn Gordon of Mattoon. He is the son of Stanley "Dwayne" and Debbie Gordon, also of Mattoon. Katherine is a 1998 graduate of Mattoon High School. She is a junior at Lincoln Christian College, majoring in family life ministry and counseling. Gordon is a 1996 graduate of Mattoon High School, and plans to graduate from Lincoln Christian College in May with a bachelor’s degree in music ministry. A June 10 wedding is planned.
