Bette
Butler, 73, of Lincoln died at 6:45 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at
St. Clara's Manor Nursing Home in Lincoln.
A memorial mass
will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 4, at Trinity Episcopal
Church in Lincoln, with the Rev. James Cravens officiating.
Cremation rites
were accorded.
There will be no
visitation.
Mrs. Butler was a
housewife.
She was born June
11, 1926, in Warsaw, Ind. She married Charles Butler Feb. 13,
1944, in Warsaw, Ind. He died Oct. 4, 1990.
Surviving are one
daughter, Carla Butler of Effingham; one son, Doug Butler of
Springfield; and one grandson.
She was a member of
Trinity Episcopal Church.

Conrad
B. Ruff
Conrad
B. Ruff, 94, formerly of Lincoln, died on March 2, 2000, at Apple
Valley Care Center in Apple Valley, California.
Ruff retired in 1970 as a security officer for Eaton
Corporation in Lincoln.
Mr.
Ruff was born the son of Gustav and Matilda Diekow Ruff in Logan
County on July 12, 1905. He
married Mildred L. Rohlfs in Lincoln on February 23, 1938.
Mrs. Rohlfs preceded him in death, October 18, 1993.
Ruff
is survived by a son, Thomas W. Ruff of Phelan, California, a
sister, Montella McClure of Lincoln, and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two
sisters, and his wife. Ruff was a member of Zion Lutheran Church
in Lincoln.
The
funeral service for Mr. Ruff will be held at Zion Lutheran Church,
Lincoln, on Wednesday, March 8, at 10:30 a.m.
The Reverend William Adam will officiate.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at
the church. Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ruff will be interred at Zion Cemetery in Lincoln.
