Dear
editor and staff:
I
really enjoy reading the Lincoln Daily News each day and
look forward to new articles. I especially enjoy the articles by Joan
Crabb. She finds the stories that are interesting and
factual--a definite asset to the publication.
I
also like the new links you have put at the bottom of each page.
It makes navigation much easier.
I
do have one suggestion: How about adding a link for each day's new
additions (on one page) for those of us who read every day and
don't want to wait on each new story to download on a different
page?

School-- Why live in the past?

To
the editor:
I'm
amazed at the way some people in this town rally around a school
that has obviously outlived its usefulness. In this day and age
our children need to have a good education--which not only
includes reading, writing and arithmetic but also a modern, safe
and handicap accessible building.
I
agree with a previous letter to the editor that spoke about
schools in Europe. They keep up with the times and build the best
schools for their children--while still keeping in touch with the
past.
I
grew up in St. Louis where it is not considered a
"crime" to build new schools. I want the best for my
child. Please keep Lincoln from going backwards once again.
We
need to look forward to the rest of this century and give our
children the best that they deserve. If not, our children will
suffer, as well as this town, as people move to places that can
provide a brighter future for our children.
Despite
the fact that my place of work is here, I'm prepared to move and
commute to Lincoln, if Lincoln can not or will not move forward
for its children.
