Hospital Monday, May 1, 2000. She weighed 7 pounds. She is a sister
to Kalyn Noelle Roberts, 16 months. Maternal grandparents are John
A. and Patricia L. Aper of Lincoln. Otto W. and Susan K. Roberts of
Lincoln are paternal grandparents. Great-grandparents are Eldon and
Lucille Mallinson of Lincoln, Olive Goodman of Mount Pulaski and
Goldie Aper of Atlanta. Mya shares her middle name with her aunt,
Janel Leann Wolpert.
XAVIER
MICHAEL DETMERS, son of Samantha and Douglas Detmers of
Hartsburg, was born at ALMH Sunday, April 30, 2000. He weighed 7
pounds, 4 ounces. He has a sister, Jordan, 2½. Maternal
grandparents are Roland and Cheri Doom of Athens. Robert and Joyce
Detmers of Hartsburg are paternal grandparents. Great-grandparents
are Marie Detmers and Jim and Jeanne Newman.

NICOLE GREGORY, daughter of Cassandra and Paul Gregory, was
born at ALMH Sunday, April 30, 2000. She weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces.
Her maternal grandmother is Deborah Palmer of Moline. Paternal
grandparents are Larry and Theresa Hinson of Rock Island.

KYLEIGH
SHEA ELZA, daughter of Amy Elliott and Josh Elza, was born
Saturday, April 29, 2000, at ALMH. She weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces.
Her maternal grandparents are Mary Elliot of Lincoln and Darren and
Mitzi Elliott of Lincoln. Susan Follis of Lincoln is her paternal
grandmother. Great-grandparents are Wanda Clark, Margie Beard and
Lorraine Peters.
ZACHARY
HARRISON CHAPMAN, son of Merideth and Jeff Chapman of
Lincoln, was born at ALMH Thursday, April 27, 2000. He weighed 6
pounds, 11 ounces. He is a brother to Antonia, 9, Isabella, 5, and
Elijah, 3. His maternal grandmother is Annelle Likwartz of Batavia.
Hugh and Angie Chapman of Bartlett are paternal grandparents.
Great-grandparents are Hester Craig of Henderson, Nev., William
Fleetwood and Geneva Chapman.
CAMERON
SHANE NICHOLS, son of Amanda Rogers and Chris Nichols of
Lincoln, was born Tuesday, April 25, 2000, at ALMH. He weighed 6
pounds, 12 ounces. Kim and Dave Lucas of Lincoln are maternal
grandparents. Helen and Charlie Nichols of Lincoln are paternal
grandparents. Great-grandparents are Pat and Bill Slayton and Maley
and Charlie Nichols. Cameron has the same initials as his paternal
grandfather and great-grandfather and shares his middle name with

Bradburn of Middletown, was born at ALMH Saturday, April 22, 2000.
She is a sister to Caleb Rayburn, 2½, and Chelsey Bradburn, 1½.

Kenneth and Kim Mollet of Taylorville. Jim and Sheila Bradburn of

MARTHA RELIFORD, daughter of Angela K. and Frank E. Reliford
of New Holland, was born Thursday, April 20, 2000, at Abraham
Lincoln Memorial Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces. She is a
sister to Frankie, 3, and Nicholas, 1½. Her maternal grandparents
are Wanda and Rich McCoy of Rantoul. Paternal grandparents are Lori
and Frank Reliford of Peoria. Great-grandparents are Eugene and Elsa
Christ of Peoria. Hannah’s name, meaning "gracious one,"
is from the Old Testament.
GREYSON
FISHER DOSCOTCH, son of Shawn and Chris Doscotch of Lincoln,
was born Monday, April 10, 2000, at ALMH. He weighed 8 pounds, 14
ounces. His maternal grandparents are Arlene Zedric of Cuba, Ill.,
and the late Leon Zedric. Grayson’s paternal grandparents are
Linda Doscotch and Russel Doscotch of Watersmeet, Mich. Eleanor
Doscotch is his great-grandmother. The baby’s middle name is in
memory of Leon Zedric.
MERRITT
DAVID STEFFENS, son of Kathy and Darrell Steffens of
Lincoln, was born at ALMH Friday, April 7, 2000. He weighed 8
pounds, 5 ounces. He is a brother to Katlyn, 2. His maternal
grandparents are Eunice and David Klockenga of Lincoln. Doris
Steffens of Lincoln is his paternal grandmother. Great-grandparents
are Virginia Klockenga and Dorothy Wall. Merritt shares his name
with his maternal grandfather, the late Merritt E. Steffens. He
shares his middle name with his maternal grandfather, David
Klockenga, and with David Steffens, his uncle.
KELSEY
JOELLE RUSSELL, daughter of Anita D. and Allan L. Russell of
Wapella, was born at ALMH Thursday, April 6, 2000. She weighed 8
pounds, 5 ounces. She is a sister to Cody, 7, and Hailey, 2. Her
maternal grandparents are Karen and the late Lyle E. Swearingen Sr.
of Clinton. Paternal grandparents are Jodi and Fred Head of Wapella
and Terry and Debbie Russell of Bloomington. Her great-grandparents
are Dorothy Swearingen, Ralph and Joyce Robbins, and Charles and the
late Ina Russell. Kelsey’s middle name is from her mother’s best
friend, Sara.
