Lucille Harrold, 81, of Lincoln, died at 11:40 a.m. Monday, May 15,
2000, at the Christian Village.
Funeral
services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 18, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln with Don Green officiating.
Burial
will be in Union Cemetery, Lincoln.
Visitation
will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Mrs.
Harrold was a retired cook who had worked at Jackson Heights Nursing
Home in Farmer City.
She
was born Sept. 1, 1918, in McLean County, a daughter of Charles E.
and Bertha Ware Dill. She married Fred R. Harrold Nov. 14, 1937, in
Farmer City. He died May 16, 1970.
She
is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She
was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
She
was a member of Lincoln Christian Church. She supplied music for
revivals and special events, was a children’s Sunday school
teacher, and held various offices in the Women’s Christian
Temperance Union.

Z. Harrison, 73, of Lincoln died at 8:23 a.m., Sunday, May 14, 2000,
at Lincoln Christian Nursing Home in Lincoln.
Funeral
services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2000, at First
Presbyterian Church in Lincoln with the Rev. Paul Gilmore
officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Lincoln. Visitation
will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Holland & Barry Funeral
Home.
Mrs.
Harrison was an elementary school teacher in Lincoln for 20 years.
She
was born May 31, 1926, in Dodge County, Wis., a daughter of Raymond
and Amelia (Priest) Zirbel. She married Phillip H. Harrison Dec. 28,
1948, at West Bend, Wis. He died April 25, 1960.
Surviving
are two sons, Tim Harrison of Sonoma, Calif., and Terry Harrison of
Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Maureen Looney of DeKalb and Kathleen
Kollinger of Paris; 11 grandchildren; one brother, Russ Zirbel of
West Bend, Wis.; and one sister, Ruby Krueger of West Milwaukee,
Wis.
She
was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother,
Raymond.
She
was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Hazel
Loise Liesman, 83, of Locust Grove, Va., formerly of Lincoln, died
at 2 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2000, at Culpeper Regional Hospital in
Culpeper, Va. Most recently she had resided with her daughter and
son-in-law, Cheryl and David Kindred of Locust Grove, Va.
Funeral
services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at Zion Lutheran
Church in Lincoln with the Rev. Mark Carnahan and the Rev. A.J.
Goldberger officiating.
Burial
will be in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln.
Visitation
will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 15, at Holland & Barry
Funeral Home.
Mrs.
Liesman was a licensed practical nurse at Lincoln Developmental
Center for 25 years.
She
was born March 9, 1917, at Beason, a daughter of John and Anna
Mariah (Powley) Carlson. She married Glenn G. Liesman March 28,
1937, at Chestnut. He died March 19, 1980.
Surviving
are one daughter, Cheryl Kindred of Locust Grove, Va.; two sons, Tom
Liesman of Newnan, Ga., and Nik Liesman of Conyers, Ga.; five
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, June Raquet of
Decatur; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Carlson of Clinton and Pearl
Carlson of Livingston, Mont.; and several nieces and nephews.
She
was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Newnon, Ga., and a former
member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln. She was a member of the
Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society.

Kathryn
E. Shull, 93, of Mount Pulaski, died at 11:03 a.m. Sunday, May 14,
2000, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
Funeral
services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski with the Rev. Dr. James Mahaffey
officiating.
Burial
will be in Laenna Cemetery, Chestnut.
Visitation
will be one hour before the services at the funeral home on
Wednesday.
Mrs.
Shull was retired from Lincoln Developmental Center, where she had
worked as a dietician.
She
was born May 13, 1907, in Chestnut, a daughter of George and
Elizabeth (Hoover) Sheridan. She married Dorrell T. Shull July 17,
1923, at Chestnut.
Surviving
are one son, Darwin Shull of Mount Pulaski; a daughter-in-law,
Lillian Shull of Chestnut; six grandchildren; 13
great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She
was preceded in death by her husband; one son, George; two
grandchildren; and one brother. She was the last of her immediate
family.
She
was a member of Chestnut United Methodist Church.

McIntosh
Elizabeth
Hayes McIntosh, 84, of Lincoln died at 11:40 p.m. Sunday, May 14,
2000, at her home.
Mrs.
McIntosh was cremated. Local arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Burial
of the cremains will be at a later date at the family plot in
Hazard, Ky. Engle Funeral Home of Hazard, Ky., is in charge of
arrangements.
Mrs.
McIntosh retired in March 1979 from Mobil Chemical in Jacksonville,
where she worked in the packing department.
She
was born June 3, 1915, at Jackson, Ky., a daughter of Robert and
Laura (Barnett) Hayes. She married Curtiss McIntosh in 1930 in
Jackson, Ky. He died Feb. 21, 1963.
Surviving
are one son, Leo (Cathy) McIntosh of Lincoln; eight grandchildren;
nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Fred Hayes of Elkhart, Ind.;
and two sisters, Hazel Harvey of Hazel Green, Ky., and Flossie
Hardin of Jackson, Ky.
She
was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one infant daughter,
two brothers, two sisters and two grandsons.

Naomi
Laverne Sunkel, 86, of Lincoln, died at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, May 13,
2000, at Lincoln Christian Nursing Home.
A
private family graveside service will be officiated by the Rev. Paul
Gilmore.
Mrs.
Sunkel was a licensed beautician for many years and worked as a
sales clerk at J.C. Penney in Lincoln for 10 years before retiring.
She
was born Feb. 13, 1914, in Lincoln, a daughter of August and Louise
(Werth) Steffen. She married Dr. Harry C. Sunkel April 11, 1939, in
Lincoln. He died May 9, 1983.
A
step-niece, Gloria Franklin of Peoria, survives.
Mrs.
Sunkel was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one
brother, Herbert Steffen.
She
was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lincoln, Lincoln
Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and formerly a member of
the Daughters of the Nile.
