Ruth Cremeens

Ruth Louise Cremeens, 75, of Lincoln, died at 6:10 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2000, at her home.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2000, at Holland & Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Ed McMinn officiating.

Cremation rites will be accorded and burial will be at a later date.

Visitation will be from noon until the service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cremeens was retired from the Christian Nursing Home in Lincoln where she was an aide for a number of years.

She was born April 1, 1925, at Mount Vernon, a daughter of Cecil and Henrietta (Dunlevy) Cochran. She married Willis Cremeens Sept. 8, 1946, at Bloomington. He survives, in Lincoln.

Also surviving are three daughters, Sandra Brown, Patricia (and Mark) Mann and Ruth McCain, all of Lincoln; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, James (and Sue) Hayes of Springfield; one sister, Linda Vandiver of Springfield; and a brother-in-law, Alvin Dickerson of Bloomington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Riley "Sonny" Hayes; and one sister, Janeria Dickerson.

Mrs. Cremeens was of the Baptist faith and had been a member of the former State Street Baptist Church of Lincoln.

She was a graduate of Atlanta High School.

Glennys McCray Rohlfs

Glennys McCray Rohlfs, 71, of Skiatook, Okla., formerly of Lincoln, died at 9:04 a.m. Sunday, May 21, 2000, at Tulsa Regional Medical Center, Tulsa, Okla.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 25, at Kerrigan Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Michael Drake officiating.

Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rohlfs was a homemaker.

She was born Feb. 22, 1929, at Barnesville, Minn., a daughter of William and Sophia (Ingle) Jackson. She married Robert McCray, who preceded her in death April 14, 1966. She then married Harold Dean Rohlfs, who preceded her in death Dec. 23, 1994.

Surviving are three sons, Mike McCray and Bruce McCray, both of Lincoln, and Larry McCray of Skiatook, Okla.; three stepsons, Ronald Rohlfs and Steven Rohlfs, both of Lincoln, and Daniel Rohlfs of Joliet; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Guy Jackson of Lincoln.

She was also preceded in death by one son, two brothers and three sisters.

She was a member of Women of the Moose in Lincoln.

Archibald Fait

Archibald "Archie" L. Fait, 93, of Lincoln died at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2000, at the Christian Village in Lincoln.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 27, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Paul Gilmore officiating.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Illiopolis.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Masonic services at 7 p.m.

Fait was a self-employed refrigeration contractor before his retirement.

He was born Jan. 7, 1907, at Illiopolis, a son of Charles E. and Helen (Boyd) Fait. He married Frances Kinahan Nov. 30, 1929, at Danville.

Surviving are his wife, Frances, in Lincoln; two nephews; and one niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. He was the last of his immediate family.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Lincoln, Lincoln Lodge #210, York Rite Bodies - Springfield Consistory, Ansar Shrine, Refrigeration Service Engineer Society and United Commercial Travelers.

He had attended Bradley University.

Memorials may be made to the Lincoln Masonic Trust Fund.

 


John Kopp

John G. Kopp, 60, of Greenview, formerly of Lincoln, died at 12:05 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2000, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 25 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Pastor Tony Shuff will officiate at a memorial service at 7 p.m.

Kopp will be cremated following visitation.

He retired in 1996 as supervisor of the line department of CILCO.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He was born Dec. 5, 1939, at Lincoln, a son of George and Filipina (Stefancic) Kopp.

Surviving are one son, Eric (and Erisa) Kopp of Lincoln; two daughters, Pamela (and Tracy) Jackson and Cynthia (and Don) Frontone of Lincoln; six grandchildren; one brother, Frank Sojat of Venice, Fla.; one sister, Mary Kuntzi of Quad Cities; and a friend, Vicki Foster of Greenview.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

He was a member of American Legion Post #263, Logan County Forty Et Eight, Knights of Columbus and Ducks Unlimited.
