Arlene
A. Kerrigan, 79, of Lincoln, died at 1:18 p.m. Monday, May 29, 2000,
at St. Clara’s Manor Nursing Home in Lincoln.
Funeral
services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2000, at Holy Family
Church in Lincoln with the Rev. Edward Higgins officiating.
Burial
will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lincoln.
Visitation
will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 1, at Kerrigan Funeral Home
in Lincoln. The rosary will be recited at 4 p.m., and the wake
service will be at 7:45 p.m.
Mrs.
Kerrigan owned and operated Kerrigan Funeral Home in Lincoln with
her husband.
She
was born Nov. 14, 1920, in Cincinnati, Ohio, a daughter of Ralph and
Janet (Ellison) Acton. She married J. Richard Kerrigan May 23, 1942,
in South Bend, Ind. He survives, in Lincoln.
Also
surviving are two daughters, Dr. Patricia Bunke of Bloomington and
Mara Richardson of Gaffney, S.C.; two sons, Dennis Kerrigan of
Northbrook and Kevin Kerrigan of Burr Ridge; and seven
grandchildren.
She
was preceded in death by one son and one brother.
She
was a member of Holy Family Church in Lincoln and of the Holy Family
Society, past president of St. Patrick’s School Club and past
president of St. Patrick’s Altar and Rosary Society. She was also
a member of Lincoln Ladies Golf Association and a charter member of
the Emblem Club of Lincoln.
For
eight years she was a volunteer teacher for the Learning Center at
Carroll Catholic School in Lincoln.

Hoepfner
George
A. Hoepfner, 83, of Lincoln died at 2:56 a.m. Saturday, May 27,
2000, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.
Funeral
services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at Holland &
Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Mark Carnahan
officiating.
Burial
will be in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln.
Visitation
will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, at the funeral home.
Hoepfner
retired from the Logan Correctional Center as a carpenter in 1982.
He ran C.W. Routson & Company as a carpenter along with his
partner, Jim Elliott, from 1961 through 1966.
He
was born Jan. 10, 1917, in Lincoln, a son of George C. and Lena
(Filter) Hoepfner. He married Doris Williamson May 28, 1940, at
Bowlingreen, Mo. She survives.
Also
surviving are four daughters, Janice (and Tom) Loeffelholz of
Lincoln, Nancy (and Ron) Miller of Mahomet, Alice (and Sam) Madonia
of Springfield and Mary (and Jim) Bushnell of Salisbury; nine
grandchildren, Mark (and Cindy) Loeffelholz of Springfield, Lori
(and Mark) Kish of Palmetto, Fla., Stacey (and Mike) DiLillo of Las
Vegas, Nev., Michael Loeffelholz of Chicago, Anne Madonia of
Springfield, Andrea Miller of Mahomet, Timothy Miller of Mahomet,
Jaime Bushnell of Salisbury and Roberto "Hobby" Russi of
Mahomet; and five great-grandchildren, Matt Kish, Ian Loeffelholz,
Andrew Kish, Alec Loeffelholz and Michael Kish.
He
was preceded in death by one sister, Lydia Klemm.
He
was of the Lutheran faith. He was a 50-year member of the Carpenter’s
Union Local #644 of Pekin.
He
was an avid Cardinal fan, loved music and dancing, and enjoyed
feeding his backyard wildlife. He lived his entire life in the same
house.

Springfield or to the American Cancer Society.

Irene
E. Fitzgibbon, 83, of Lincoln, died at 3:38 p.m. Monday, May 29, at
Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.
Cremation
rites were accorded. There will be a memorial mass at a later date.
Kerrigan Funeral Home in Lincoln is in charge of arrangements.
Miss
Fitzgibbon was employed in retail sales in the Lincoln area before
her retirement.
She
was born July 12, 1916, at Elkhart, a daughter of Thomas and
Catherine (Madden) Fitzgibbon.
She
is survived by two sisters, Catherine Dee of Sherman and Pauline
Moate of Park Forest; and one brother, Thomas Fitzgibbon of Daytona
Beach, Fla.
She
was a member of Holy Family Church.
Delbert
Goldhammer
Delbert
F. Goldhammer, 80, of Port Charlotte, Fla., formerly of Lincoln,
died at 9:10 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2000, at his home.
Funeral
services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln with the Rev. William Adam officiating.
Burial
with military rites will be in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln.
Visitation
will be from noon until the service time Wednesday at the funeral
home.
Goldhammer
was retired from International Harvester, where he worked as a
service manager.
He
was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He
was born March 28, 1920, at Lincoln, a son of Henry A. and Dorothea
"Dora" (Langenbahn) Goldhammer. He married Theresa Boughan
Aug. 25, 1941, at St. Charles, Mo. She preceded him in death July
18, 1990. He married R. Elaine Brannan Hower Aug. 28, 1991, in
Lincoln. She survives, in Port Charlotte, Fla.
Also
surviving are one son, Ronald (and Lana) Goldhammer of Lincoln; one
daughter, Jean (and Dale) Meier of Lincoln; two stepsons, Terry
Hower of Lincoln and Kent (and Jill) Hower of Lincoln; 11
grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Wilbur
Goldhammer of Lincoln.
He
was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, one brother
and six sisters.
He
was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Cross, Port Charlotte,
Fla., and an elder at his church. He was a lifetime member of
American Legion Post #110 in Port Charlotte.

may be made to his church or to Hospice of Southwest Florida.

Marie Stoltz, 88, of Lincoln, died at 8:50 p.m. Thursday, May 25,
2000, at Fairview Haven Nursing Home in Fairbury.
Funeral
services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, at Holland &
Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Richard Reinwald
officiating.
Burial
will be in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln.
Visitation
will be one hour before the service on Wednesday at the funeral
home.
She
retired from State Farm Illinois Region Office of Fire Company after
31 years.
She
was born Feb. 1, 1912, in Lincoln, a daughter of Charles and Emma B.
(Borchardt) Stoltz.
She
is survived by three sisters, Lucille Stoltz of Lincoln, Catherine
(and George) Sheley of Lincoln and Evelyn (and William) Phillips of
Bloomington; seven nieces and nephews; 18 great-nieces and nephews;
and 20 great-great-nieces and nephews.
She
was preceded in death by her parents and loving fiancé, Charles
Gibson.
She
was cherished and loved by all.
