Plumbers
needed!
Do you
have plumbing skills? Habitat House is in need of your skills now.
Heating is working. Wallboard is half up. Rooms are all partitioned.
Like worker ants, volunteers gradually change the inside of this
house each hour and day they are present. Several people hang
wallboard in the upstairs, while others measure, saw and hammer
2-by-4s, constructing walls in the basement. Some of the ants, er
men, run out for supplies, some clean up and organize after other
workers, others run quality control, checking on what's going on
where and how everybody's doing. Everyone is moving, everybody has
his/her own job. It seems rooms form out of nowhere in little time.
Throughout the house, rooms can be found in every phase of
transition. There is a job for everyone. Just show up on a Monday or
Saturday starting at 8 to 8:30 a.m. or anytime after that. You can
help too! Send in the plumbers! The house with the big sign, Habitat
House, 600 block North Sherman Street.
