Domenic
Guzzardo, 95, of Lincoln, formerly of LaGrange, died at 1 p.m.
Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at Maple Ridge Health Care Centre in Lincoln.
A
graveside service will be Thursday, Nov. 30, at 2 p.m. at Clarendon
Hills Cemetery Chapel in Darien, with the Rev. Paul Rawley
officiating.
There
is no visitation.

Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Guzzardo
was a machinist at a Chicago factory before his retirement.
He
was born June 11, 1905, at Cole City to Nick and Mary (Azzarelo)
Guzzardo. He married Celia Gervase on April 24, 1937. She died April
10, 1998.
Surviving
are one sister, Mary Rieman of Phoenix, Ariz.; and two
sisters-in-law, Rose Guzzardo of Lincoln and Josephine Lobdell of
Mesa, Ariz.
He
was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
He
was a member of First Baptist Church of LaGrange.

Philomena
Blanford
Philomena
"Sis" Blanford, 85, died at 3:35 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 26,
2000, at St. Clara’s Manor Nursing Home in Lincoln.
Funeral
services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, at Holy Family
Church in Lincoln with Monsignor Edward Higgins officiating.
Burial
will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lincoln.
Visitation
will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Kerrigan Funeral Home
in Lincoln, with the rosary and wake service at 5 p.m.
Mrs.
Blanford and her husband farmed in rural Lincoln until his death, in
1975.
She
was born June 18, 1915, in Tell City, Ind., to William and Philomena
(Schneider) Hartz. She married Vernon Blanford on Oct. 8, 1937, in
Tell City, Ind. He died April 16, 1975.
Several
nieces and nephews survive.
She
was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Mrs.
Blanford was a member of Holy Family Church in Lincoln. She was a
volunteer at St. Clara’s Manor, doing sewing for the residents.
