William
C. Prather, 81, of Gravois Mills, Mo., formerly of Mount Pulaski,
died at 7:20 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, 2000, at Jackson Heights
Nursing Home in Farmer City.
Private
services will be at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Prather
was owner of Minnesota Tool Co. in Mount Pulaski for 48 years.
He
was born Dec. 31, 1918, at Sheffield to Leroy and Susan (Moore)
Prather.
Surviving
are two sons, Bruce (and Renay) Prather of Mesa, Ariz., and William
Christopher of Oakland, Calif.; two daughters, Bonny Weinheimer of
Wapella and Kathy Schmidt of Lincoln; seven grandchildren; seven
great-grandchildren; and one brother, Dariel Prather of Henry.
He
was preceded in death by his parents.
He
was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mount Pulaski and
the Elks Lodge in Keokuk, Iowa.

Irma
Kathryn Cypher, 61, of Lincoln died at 8:20 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19,
2000, at her residence.
Funeral
services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23, at Lincoln Christian
Church in Lincoln, with Tom Gerdts officiating.
Burial
will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Havana.
Visitation
will be Sunday, Oct. 22, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Mrs.
Cypher was a building supervisor and supervisor of registered nurses
at Lincoln Developmental Center from 1961 to 1991 and was a
registered nurse at St. Clara’s Manor from 1991 to 1999.
She
graduated from Memorial Hospital School of Nursing on Sept. 1, 1961.
She
was born Nov. 30, 1938, in Mason County to Ross and Ede (Tegedes)
Forsythe. She married George A. Cypher on March 30, 1962, in
Lincoln. He survives.
Also
surviving are one daughter, Diane (and James) Coop of Lincoln; one
grandson, Andrew James Edward Coop of Lincoln; two brothers, Allen
(and Dessie) Forsythe of Forest City and Roland Forsythe of Havana;
one niece, Teresa Forsythe of Mason City; one nephew, Rick (and Jan)
Forsythe of Manito; two great-nieces, Abby and Jaci Forsythe of
Manito; and one aunt, Mabel Dierker of Lincoln.
She
was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Anna Stewart; and
one niece, Marie Fay Forsythe.
She
was a member of Lincoln Christian Church, Harvest of Talents
quilters, Lincoln Women’s Bowling League and current chapter
president of Epsilon Sigma Alpha.

Memorial Medical Foundation.
