Question:

What are your feelings on the issue of building a new elementary and junior high school or
renovating and adding to the existing structures?

Responses from LCHS students are below.

They should build new buildings. When I attended the junior high, the walls were flaking off and the heating system was old. It's time for a new building.

[Shelli Skelton, senior]

I'm going to vote "yes" to build new schools. If they started to renovate, they may run into bigger problems than expected. Would they have the money to fix these problems?

[Justin Dedman, senior]

I'm indifferent to the idea of new schools or not. If I could vote, I would vote "yes" for the referendum because new buildings seem to be the most efficient decision.

I attended both schools and if I could vote, I would save Central School and build a new junior high. Central School does have historical value and is an architecturally interesting building.
