Louise
C. Wolpert, 89, of Lincoln died at 2:25 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, 2000,
at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.
Funeral
services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Terry Davis officiating.
Burial
will be in Richmond Grove Cemetery, rural New Holland.
Visitation
will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home in Lincoln.
Mrs.
Wolpert worked for Stetson’s China Co. for 12 years and for the
Odd Fellows Home for eight years.
She
was born April 16, 1911, at Hedrick, Iowa, to Harry and Matilda
(Miller) Koester. She married Marion Charles "Satch"
Wolpert in Lincoln on Nov. 30, 1933. He died Nov. 19, 1995.
Surviving
are four sons, Charles (and Ruth Ann) Wolpert of Lincoln, Donnie
(and Shirley) Wolpert of Lincoln, Kenny (and Marie) Wolpert of
Beason and Robert (and Karen L.) Wolpert of Mount Pulaski; two
daughters, Marilyn (and Bob) Greathouse of Lawndale and Joan (and
Bob) Pillar of Oswego; 18 grandchildren and five step-grandchildren;
21 great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild; one brother,
Harold Koester of New Holland; and one sister, Mildred Johnson of
Lincoln.
She
was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, one
daughter, two brothers, two sisters and one great-granddaughter.
She
was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Lincoln and the Women of
the Moose #1109.
Memorials
may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lincoln or to the
Friendship Manor.

Florence
F. Johnson, 84, of rural Lincoln died at 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, Aug.
30, 2000, at her home.
Graveside
funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, at New Union
Cemetery in Lincoln, with the Rev. Darby Lawrence officiating.
There
will be no visitation.
Kerrigan
Funeral Home, Lincoln, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs.
Johnson was a homemaker.
She
was born Nov. 12, 1915, to William and Ida (Leesman) Amberg. She
married Lloyd Johnson on Aug. 27, 1938, in Hannibal, Mo. He died in
June of 1983.
Surviving
are two daughters, Glenda Downing and Nancy Thompson, both of
Lincoln; one son, Teddy Johnson of Lincoln; two granddaughters; one
great-grandson; and one sister, Mabel Amberg of Lincoln.
In
lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to her church, Immanuel
Lutheran in Lincoln.

Esther
Donnan, 77, of Macomb, Mich., formerly of Lincoln, died on Monday,
Aug. 28, 2000, at her sister’s home in Macomb, Mich.
Funeral
services will be Saturday, Sept. 2, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family
Church in Lincoln, with the Rev. Steven Bird officiating.
Burial
will be in Laenna Cemetery, Chestnut.
Visitation
will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home in Lincoln and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday before the
service at Holy Family Church. A prayer service will be at 5:45
Friday evening.
Mrs.
Donnan was a homemaker.
She
was born Sept. 15, 1922, in Casco Township, Mich., to George and
Laura (Zimmerman) Riedel. She married Alvin L. Donnan in Detroit,
Mich., on April 23, 1949. He died June 10, 1998.
Surviving
are five sisters, Mary (and Ted) Kitchen of Mancelona, Mich., Doris
(and Bob) Schuler of Cheboygan, Mich., Ruth Ann (and Stan) Bobula of
Harrisburg, Pa., Joyce (and Harold) Dean of Copac, Mich., and Donna
(and Roger) Gardella of Macomb, Mich.; and several nieces and
nephews.
She
was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers.
She
was a member of Holy Family Church in Lincoln.
Memorials
may be made to St. John’s Hospice.
