Jeff Mayfield says…

The Lincoln Railers have advanced to the Class AA semifinals tonight with a rousing win over a very athletic team from Washington, D.C. This is a team that nobody else wanted to play, but, as always, coach Alexander is ready to take on all comers. The win sets up a match against what many publications call the No. 1 player in the country: 6-foot-10, 310-pound Eddy Curry of South Holland-Thornwood. The Railers will have to attack the boards and limit Thornwood to one shot per possession if they hope to compete tonight. A large and raucous crowd supporting Lincoln tonight at the Shirk Center could well be the difference!!!
