at Christian Village Nursing Home in Lincoln.

Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Larry Maffett officiating.
Burial
will be in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln.

Hasenmyer
farmed in Logan County from 1939 to 1986.
He
was born Jan. 26, 1915, in Lincoln to George and Anna (Howland)
Hasenmyer. He married Helen Irene Lessen on Jan. 18, 1939, in
Lincoln. She survives.
Also
surviving are one brother, Louis Hasenmyer of Lincoln, and two
grandchildren.
He
was preceded in death by one grandchild; one brother, George D.
Hasenmyer; and two children, Marvin Hasenmyer and Jane Hasenmyer.
He
was a member of First United Methodist Church of Lincoln and the
Logan County Farm Bureau.

"Konnie" Aviza, 82, of Lincoln died at 9:25 p.m. Monday,

Aviza
had been employed in the maintenance department at Lehn and Fink in
Lincoln. He retired in 1982.
He
served during World War II with the U.S. Army Engineers in the
European Theater.
He
was born April 14, 1918, in Cambridge, Mass., to Joseph and Barbara
(Sidlouskas) Aviza. He married Patricia Simpson in Lincoln on June
8, 1950. She survives.
Also
surviving are three daughters, Diane Lowe of Emden, Barbara Bernahl
of Lincoln and Donna Aviza of Lincoln; two sons, Richard Aviza of
Lincoln and David Aviza of Coldwater, Mich.; seven grandchildren; 10
great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ben Stopolones of Clearwater,
Fla.
He
was a member of Holy Family Church, American Legion Post 263,
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1756 and Lincoln Sportsman Club, all
in Lincoln.

Trella (and Neal R.) Young of Riverview, Fla.; seven grandchildren;
15 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and one
sister, Louise Hackl of Lincoln.
She
was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, three brothers and
one daughter, Doris Canada.
She
was a member of Lincoln Christian Church and White Shrine of
Jerusalem.

nieces and nephews.
She

died April 26, 1981.
Surviving
are two daughters, Phyllis (and James) LeMothe of Lincoln and
Marilyn Lowe of Springfield; eight grandchildren; and 19
great-grandchildren.
She
was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother, Lloyd
Lakin. She was the last of her immediate family.
She

is one brother, Edward H. Lechleiter of Hartsburg.
He
was preceded in death by one brother, Gilbert Lee Lechleiter, and
one sister, Judith Ann Lechleiter.
He
was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Lincoln.
He
received an associate’s degree from Lincoln College and also
attended McMurray College in Jacksonville and Lincoln Land Junior
College in Springfield.

Middletown and Petersburg, died at 7:20 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000,
at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, N.M.

in Petersburg, with the Rev. Edward Maddox officiating.

will be in Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Middletown. Military rites will be
conducted by Menard County Inter Veterans Ceremony Unit.

living in Illinois, Doyle was co-owner of the Indian Point Limestone
rock quarry at Athens.
He
served with the U.S. Army in the European Theatre during World War II.
He
was born Feb. 8, 1925, at Easton to John W. and Grace (List) Doyle. He
married Geraldine "Deany" Nichols on July 14, 1951. She
survives, in Carlsbad, N.M.
Also
surviving are two daughters, Sylvia (and husband Gail) Ringland of
Easton and Sharon Guernsey of Springfield; five grandchildren; two
brothers, Paul Doyle of Mason City and Richard Doyle of Petersburg;
and two sisters, Mary Louise Barnett of Cantrall and Rose Buburt of
Peoria.
He
was preceded in death by a brother, John W. Doyle Jr. of Mason City.
When
Doyle returned to Illinois after his military service, he and his
family bought the rock quarry at Athens, which the family owned until
1976. He and his wife lived in Middletown from the time of their
marriage until 1964, when they moved to Petersburg. In 1978 they moved
to LaGrange, Mo., where he attended the watch making and jewelry
program at Gem City College in Quincy and received his degree. Then
they moved to Carlsbad, N.M., where they opened Doyle’s Jewelry
Store on Canal Street and operated that business until 1985.
In
Illinois he was active in the American Legion as commander of Post 672
in Middletown, Logan County commander, commander of the local 40 and
8, and commander of Petersburg American Legion. When he was co-owner
of the rock quarry in Athens, he was a director for the National
Limestone Association.
In
Carlsbad he was a member of the Carlsbad Downtown Lions Club, serving
as president for over 20 years. He was also a member of BPOE 1558.
His
hobbies included woodworking. He was an artist and a volunteer for the
Carlsbad Museum, where he also exhibited his work.
He
was a Methodist.

Kraus Retirement Home in Lincoln.

Mrs.
Hubbell was a retired schoolteacher.
She
was born Feb. 10, 1910, at Herrin to Tony and Ninnie (Collins)
Malandrone. She married C.F. Hubbell on Oct. 24, 1931, at Grafton.
He died in December of 1959.
Surviving
are one daughter, Marilyn Fox of Lincoln; two grandchildren; and two
great-grandchildren.
She
was preceded in death by a sister, Zella Malandrone Hardy.
She
was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lincoln.
She
received a bachelor’s degree from McKendree College and a master’s
degree in education from the University of Illinois.

Lincoln.

William (and Nancy) Harmon of Fort Collins, Colo.; two

Lincoln. He survives.

1962. She later married Lowell Damman, on Feb. 25, 1972. He
survives.

surviving are one stepson, George Damman of Normal; two sisters, Ann
French of Lincoln and Hazel Jones of Atlanta; three brothers, James
French and Ramey French, both of Lincoln, and Kenneth French of
Normal; and several nieces and nephews.
She
was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Delmar French.
She
was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Bloomington.
