Charles
Glen Williamson, 82, of Kirbyville, Mo., formerly of Lincoln, died
on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001, at Skaggs Community Health Center in
Branson, Mo.
Funeral
services will be at 10:30 am. Thursday, Jan. 11, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Kirk Cunningham officiating.
Burial,
with military rites, will be in Union Cemetery, Lincoln.
Visitation
will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Williamson
retired in January 1982 as financial secretary of the Plumbers and
Steamfitters Local Union 137 in Springfield, where he worked for 15
years.
He
served with the U.S. Army in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre.
He
was born Aug. 10, 1918, in Fairfield to Charles Herman and Mabel
Glen Taylor Williamson. He married Florence E. Gratwohl on March 16,
1943, in St. Charles, Mo.
Surviving
are his wife, of Kirbyville, Mo.; one son, John (and Diane)
Williamson of Lincoln; one granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Gibson of
Hudson; two great-grandchildren, Jared Austin and Rachel Jordan
Gibson; one brother, Russell Williamson of Lincoln; and one sister,
Doris Hoepfner of Lincoln.
He
was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
He
was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Branson, Mo., where he was
an elder for six years.

Frederick
E. Heath, 67, of Lincoln died at 10:31 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001,
at his home.
Cremation
rites were accorded. There will be no services.
Heath
had been a self-employed brick mason in Lafayette and Kokomo, Ind.,
for over 30 years and more recently the owner of Deer Creek Lakes.
He
was born March 7, 1933, at Lincoln to Harley and Iola Bernice
(Latham) Heath. He married Florence Flint on Aug. 13, 1952, in
Arkansas. She survives.
Also
surviving are two sons, Fred Heath Jr. of Flora, Ind., and Jerry
Heath of Frankfort, Ind.; four daughters, Jean Levesque of Limerick,
Maine, Diana Dicus of Jacksonville, Ind., Bobbie Jo Williams of
Cleveland, Ga., and Billie Rae Claar of Kokomo, Ind.; 26
grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Heath of
Mount Pulaski and Harley Heath of Lincoln; and one sister, Florence
Rosco of Phoenix, Ariz.
He
was a Protestant.

Mary
Katherine Starchevich, 90, of Lincoln died at 4:50 a.m. Saturday,
Jan. 6, 2001, in the intensive care unit at Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital in Lincoln.
Funeral
services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at Holy Family
Church in Lincoln with Father Thomas Taylor officiating.
Burial
will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lincoln.
There
will be no visitation.
She
was a nurse anesthetist. She retired from Hopedale Medical Complex
in Hopedale.
She
was born Oct. 19, 1910, in Lincoln to Rudolph and Anna (Vlachovich)
Starchevich.
Surviving
are one nephew, Richard "Dick" Starchevich of Lima, Ohio;
one niece, Mrs. Robert (Linda) Sheley of Lincoln; three
great-nephews; and several great-great-nephews and great-nieces.
She
was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, George; and one
sister, Jennie Packard. She was the last of her immediate family.
As
a nurse anesthetist, she was very dedicated, took great care of her
patients and took pride in them.
She
enjoyed raising Westhighlander terriers for herself and for the
proper buyer whom she felt would provide the best home.
Memorials
may be made to Holy Family Church or the Alzheimer’s Unit at the
Christian Village Nursing Home in Lincoln.

Gertrude
E. Simons, 91, of Lincoln died at 5:20 a.m. Friday, Jan. 5, 2001, at
Christian Village in Lincoln.
Funeral
services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Tom Gerdts officiating.
Burial
will be in Union Cemetery, Lincoln.
Visitation
will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Mrs.
Simons retired from the clothing department of Lincoln Developmental
Center, Lincoln.
She
was born Dec. 3, 1909, at Middletown to John and Frances (Redford)
Morris. She married Walter E. Simons on May 24, 1939, in Lincoln. He
died Jan. 17, 1978.
Surviving
are two nephews, John Mielkus of Kimberling, Mo., and James Mielkus
of Waco, Texas, and three nieces, Helen Schoendienst of Irving,
Texas, JoAnn Young of Lake St. Louis, Mo., and Gloria Lowery of
Springfield, Mo.
She
was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
She
was a member of Lincoln Christian Church.
