Albert
Keith Finley, 67, of Lincoln, formerly of Springfield, died Tuesday,
Jan. 16, 2001, at Maple Ridge Care Centre in Lincoln.
Funeral
services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at Vancil Memorial
Funeral Chapel in Springfield, with the Rev. Vaughn Beeman
officiating.
Burial
will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery. Interveterans Burial
Detail will conduct military services.
Visitation
will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral chapel.
Finley
was a prison guard for many years in Lincoln and in Texas. He was
also a U.S. Army veteran.
He
was born Nov. 29, 1933, in Springfield to Otis and Minnie (Lambert)
Finley. He married Mary Hall in Lincoln in 1979. She survives.
Also
surviving are two stepsons, Glenn Sapp and Jerry L. Sapp, both of
Lincoln; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother,
David (wife Julia) Finley of Jefferson City, Mo.; and two nieces.
He
was preceded in death by stepdaughter Carol Jones and stepson Robert
Sapp.
He
lived in Springfield most of his life.
Clinton
Cox
Clinton
C. Cox, 71, of Lincoln died at 9:59 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001, at
his home.
A
memorial service will be at a later date. Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln is handling arrangements.
Cox
was a copper miner in Colorado before his retirement.
He
was born in Colorado on Feb. 23, 1929, to Arthur Wesley and Irene (Cartee)
Cox. He married Virginia Fannin on Dec. 22, 1971, in Superior, Wyo.
She died Nov. 13, 1997.
Surviving
are a dear friend, Mildred Buss Smith of Lincoln; two sons, Kenneth
and Robert Cox, addresses unknown; one sister, Lois Wince of
Colorado Springs, Colo; and four brothers, Raymond Cox of Lafayette,
Ind., William Cox of Colorado Springs, Colo., Ralph Cox of Colorado
Springs, Colo., and Donald Cox of Green River, Wyo.

Norma
M. Pickett, 81, of Elkhart, died at 10:10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16,
2001, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Funeral
services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at Holland and Barry
Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Pastor Beth Tinker officiating.
Burial
will be in Elkhart Cemetery, Elkhart.
Visitation
will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
Mrs.
Pickett was a homemaker.
She
was born July 14, 1919, at Walshville to Joseph and Theresa (Mravle)
Ferjancic. She married Hollis Pickett in Springfield on Feb. 3,
1951.
Surviving
are one sister, Freda Klasing of Monrovia, Calif.; several nieces;
one nephew; grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
She
was preceded in death by two sisters, Stefanie "Fannie"
Ferjancic and Danilla Kmet, and one brother, Edward Ferjancic.
She
was a member of Elkhart United Methodist Church, Elkhart American
Legion Auxiliary and Daughters of Nile in Springfield.
Memorials
may be made to Elkhart Methodist Church or Elkhart Rescue Squad.

Ann Wright, 59, of Lincoln died at 5:39 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001,
in the emergency room at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Lincoln.
Funeral
services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Clyde Shreve officiating.
Burial
will be in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln.
Visitation
will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. An Eagle’s
Auxiliary ritual will be at 7 p.m.
Mrs.
Wright was a homemaker.
She
was born April 4, 1941, in Winston County, Ala., to John Grover and
Lottie (Moore) Lancaster. She married James A. Wright on Aug. 10,
1962, in Atlanta. He survives, in Lincoln.
Also
surviving are four sons, James A. (and Gayla) Wright, Edward W. (and
Janice) Wright, Jay Michael Wright and Rex A. (and Kyle) Wright, all
of Lincoln; one daughter, Tena (and Rick) Schneider, of Lincoln;
nine grandchildren; and two sisters, Vernell Mattingly of Leroy and
Mig Harrison of Red Bay, Ala.
She
was preceded in death by her parents, a son, and eight brothers and
sisters.
She
was a member of Southern Baptist Church and Eagles Lodge 2708
Auxiliary.
Memorials
