Clarence
W. "Red" Mason, 82, of Lincoln died at 10:20 p.m. Friday,
Jan. 19, 2001, at Maple Ridge Care Centre in Lincoln, where he had
resided since June 1999.
Memorial
services will be at a later date. Mason donated his remains to
medical science. Quiram Funeral Home in Atlanta is in charge of
arrangements.
He
was a carpenter. He owned and operated the Atlanta Locker several
years. He also was the Kent Feed dealer in Armington many years.
He
was born July 17, 1918, at Armington to Clinton and Lena (Powell)
Mason. He married Lelia Mae Howard on Aug. 12, 1939, at Mexico, Mo.
He later married Peggy White on Jan. 2, 1998, at Sullivan. She
survives.
Also
surviving are one daughter, Carolyn Sue (and Larry) Hughes of East
Peoria; one son, Howard (and Yvonne) Mason of Miamisburg, Ohio; one
stepdaughter, Beverly (and Joe) Hinkle of New Holland; four
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren;
three step-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Helen Timm of
Lincoln.
He
was preceded in death by one brother.
He
was a former member of the Armington Fire Department and the
Oddfellows Lodge. He was a 50-year member of the Atlanta Masonic
Lodge and Order of Eastern Star, Minier. He also was a member of the
Eagles Lodge in Lincoln. He was a member of the Armington Christian
Church.

Clinton
Cox
A
memorial service for Clinton C. Cox will be Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 6
p.m. in the recreation room at the Logan Court Highrise, 1028 N.
College St. in Lincoln. Arrangements are being handled by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Cox,
71, of Lincoln died at 9:59 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001, at his
home.
He
was a copper miner in Colorado before his retirement.
He
was born in Colorado on Feb. 23, 1929, to Arthur Wesley and Irene (Cartee)
Cox. He married Virginia Fannin on Dec. 22, 1971, in Superior, Wyo.
She died Nov. 13, 1997.
Surviving
are a dear friend, Mildred Buss Smith of Lincoln; two sons, Kenneth
and Robert Cox, addresses unknown; one sister, Lois Wince of
Colorado Springs, Colo; and four brothers, Raymond Cox of Lafayette,
Ind., William Cox of Colorado Springs, Colo., Ralph Cox of Colorado
Springs, Colo., and Donald Cox of Green River, Wyo.
Memorials
may be made to the Clinton C. Cox estate.
