[The butterfly garden created by Cathy Hawkinson's 1999-2000 third grade class often brought pedestrian traffic on Fifth Street to a stop. Even automobile drivers slowed down while passing to get a good look.]

[Chase took a brief break from his spading chores last spring. The butterfly garden is located on the corner of Fifth and Adams streets.]
