Flossie Unland

Flossie M. Unland, 90, of Mount Pulaski died at 11:13 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2001, at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mount Pulaski.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 12, at Mount Pulaski Christian Church, with John Robertson officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski.

Mrs. Unland was co-owner of Midwest Tool Company.

She was born Aug. 6, 1910, in Taylor County, Ky., to Thomas J. and Martha Ann (Belton) Raikes. She married Clarence Unland on June 26, 1951, in Petersburg. He died Nov. 21, 1979.

Surviving are one sister, Nancy Ellen Lamaster of Davenport, Iowa; one brother, Richard Raikes of Greenview; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, six brothers and two sisters.

She was a member of Mount Pulaski Christian Church and the Ladies Aid of the church.

Memorials may be made to her church or to Mount Pulaski Ambulance.

Thomas Quisenberry

Thomas W. Quisenberry, 64, of Emden died at 6:06 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2001, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.

There will be no funeral services.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 10, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Burial will be at a later date at Bethel Cemetery, Emden.

Quisenberry farmed at Union.

He was born Sept. 15, 1936, in Lincoln to Wayne Lee and Catherine (Wagoner) Quisenberry. He married Jeanette "Jan" Snyder on July 3, 1961, in Freeport, Texas. Surviving are his wife, in Emden; three daughters, Mary (Alan) Burton Quisenberry of Grayslake, Jane Ryan of Lincoln and Leslie Vonderheide of Middletown; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, William Quisenberry.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s disease research or to Christian Village Nursing Home.
