Jeremy Ian Reves, 26, of Lincoln died
Wednesday (April 14, 2004) at 7:45 a.m. at a Willard Avenue
location.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday
at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader, with the Rev. Darrell Garrett
officiating.
Burial will be in Zion Cemetery,
Lincoln.
Mr. Reves worked in housing
construction.
He was born Nov. 19, 1977, in
Springfield to John Brett and Carol Reves.
He is survived by his mother and
his stepfather, Randall Tholen of Lincoln; his father, of New Orleans,
La.; one sister, Courtney Reves of Lincoln; and one niece, Hayleigh
Maupin of Lincoln.
He was preceded in death by his
maternal and paternal grandparents.
He graduated from Lincoln Community
High School in 1996.
He will be remembered for his smile,
sense of humor and compassion.

Edward
Wieber Jr.
Edward Wieber Jr., 76, of Lincoln died
Monday (April 12, 2004) at 3:17 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital.
His funeral was Thursday morning at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mark Carnahan
officiating. Visitation was on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial is in Union Cemetery,
Lincoln.
Mr. Wieber farmed in Elkhart Township
for 36 years and worked for the past 14 years at Stine Seeds in
Lincoln.
He was born Oct. 20, 1927, in Lincoln
to Edward G. and Emma Duesing Wieber. He married Dorothy Bracko on
July 31, 1947, in Lincoln.
He is survived by his wife; one son,
Tony (and Sandy) Wieber of Martinsville; one daughter, Debra (and
Rob) Lee of Middletown; two grandchildren, Zak (and Sarah) Lee of
Edwardsville and Mike Lee of Middletown; and one brother, George A.
Wieber of Lincoln.
He was preceded in death by one
brother, one sister and one grandson, Chad Wieber.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church
of Lincoln and the Logan Mason Hereford Association.

Harold Schmidt
Harold G. Schmidt, 75, of Lincoln,
formerly of Chestnut, died Tuesday (April 13, 2004) at 5:30 a.m. at
the Christian Village.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m.
Thursday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday
at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader, with the Rev. Carol Andricks
officiating.
Burial will be in Laenna Cemetery,
Chestnut.
Mr. Schmidt was a retired farmer.
He was born Nov. 18, 1928, at Chestnut
to Gilbert and Esther Whalen Schmidt. He married Virginia Ewers on
Nov. 21, 1954, in New Holland.
He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln;
one nephew, Edwin (and Lorene) Stoll; one niece, Barbara (and Bill)
Himley of Schaumberg; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister.
He was a member of Chestnut United
Methodist Church, Logan County Farm Bureau and the Chestnut Coffee
Drinkers Club.
He graduated from Lincoln Community
High School in 1946.

Debra Vincent
Debra A. Vincent, 38, of Lincoln died
Sunday (April 11, 2004) at 5:16 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in
Springfield.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m.
Thursday at Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Her funeral will be at 5 p.m. Friday at
Peasley Funeral Home, with Andy Glass officiating.
Cremation rites will be accorded and
burial will be at a later date.
She had worked as a licensed certified
nurse's aide at St. Clara's Manor and Bartmann Nursing Home. She was
to graduate from Lincoln College in May.
She was born in Orlando, Fla., on May
7, 1965, to Robert L. and Juanita A. Pritchard Houghtalin. She
married John Vincent Jr. on Aug. 10, 1984.
She is survived by her parents, of
Lincoln; three daughters: Nicole Marie Vincent, Kristine Ann Vincent
and Ashley Linn Vincent, all of Lincoln; her brother, Steven Thomas
Houghtalin of Lincoln; her fiance, Trent Purdue of Hartsburg; and
special friend John Vincent Jr. of Lincoln.
She was preceded in death by her
grandparents.
She was a member of Phi Delta Kappa,
the National Deans List and Presidents Club. She had been a member
of ABATE since 1987.
She will be greatly missed by family
and friends.
