Cameron, who has presented at Nike
clinics in St. Louis and who captured the IHSA Class A state
championship in 2000 and 2002, will be the final morning presenter
at the clinic. Cameron will be following up Illinois Wesleyan
University head coach Scott Trost's final appearance with a
continued session on "Competitive Offensive Drills" and will also
touch on "Preparing Your Team for Postseason Play."
Cameron and Saunemin coach Mike
Stoecklin have known each other since Cameron coached in the Bond
County Unit 2 school district in southern Illinois many years ago.
"Cliff was an acquaintance many years
ago when he coached in the Unit 2 district prior to his leaving for
Pleasant Plains. When the thought process for the clinic began, he
became one of the first high school coaches that we wanted, due to
his incredible success at Pleasant Plains," Stoecklin said. "He won
the 2000 and 2002 IHSA titles and came within one game of returning
to Peoria this season but lost to Peoria Christian in the
supersectional."
With the topics for Cameron set, the
presenter times for the I-55/I-57
Clinic are now lined up:
- 8:40 a.m. -- Scott Trost,
Illinois Wesleyan, "IWU Offense"
- 9:30 a.m. -- Dave Darnall, Eureka
College, "1-2-2 Adjustable/Matchup Zone"
