[APRIL 9, 2004]  Lincoln Christian College and Seminary will host the annual Christian Women's Conference on Wednesday, April 28. The conference, entitled "Extravagant Goodness," will be led by keynote speakers, drawing a crowd of nearly 2,000 guests to Lincoln.

Author and radio personality Kendra Smiley will speak on "Empowering Choices," followed by Gail Wenos and her associate "Smart Dummy," Ezra, who will reveal how "Love Makes a Difference." Jill Savage, an author and the director of Hearts at Home, will enlighten the audience on how to "Unpack the Baggage." Jill Stanek, advocate and warrior for children born and unborn, will present her testimony of her battle with a Chicago hospital, a battle that took her to Washington, D.C.

The conference will also offer a "hot topics" panel discussing issues that face the church today: "Issues That Divide God's People," "The Absence of Worldview," "The Need for Children's Ministry" and "The Church's Response to the Gay Community."

"This conference is a salute to Christian women and the impact they have on our lives and the lives of those around us," LCCS President Keith Ray said. "On behalf of Lincoln Christian College and Seminary, we are proud to be able to offer this uplifting and spiritual event in Lincoln."

Registration for the conference is $25 through April 21 and may be made by phoning the college at (217) 732-3168. The conference is open to women of all denominations. Online registration is available at http://www.lccs.edu/events/cwc/register.shtml
