Rosemary Bode

Rosemary Bode, 82, of Lincoln died Monday (Aug. 9, 2004) at 7:33 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Visitation was at Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln on Thursday morning, followed by a funeral Mass at Holy Family Church in Lincoln, with the Rev. R. Anthony Lee officiating. 

Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lincoln.

Mrs. Bode was a telephone operator for General Telephone Company before she retired.

She was born Dec. 24, 1921, in Mount Pulaski to William and Margaret Lang Schwoerer.

She is survived by two sons, Dan Bode of Las Vegas, Nev., and Don (and Jo) Bode of Lincoln; one daughter, Diana Bode of Cincinnati, Ohio; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, David Bode; two grandchildren; two brothers; and one sister.

She was a member of Holy Family Church in Lincoln

Georgia Moore

Georgia Ellen Moore, 88, of Lincoln died Sunday (Aug. 8, 2004) at 9:28 a.m. at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Phillip Blackburn officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the service time on Thursday.

Burial will be in Union Cemetery.

She was a cook at the Presbyterian orphanage in Farmington, Mo., until 1951, at the Odd Fellows home and for 24 years at Lincoln Developmental Center.

She was born Sept. 17, 1915, in Perry County, Mo., to Thomas and Trula Rhyne Henderson.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry (and Mary) Moore of Lincoln and James Moore of Malabar, Fla.; two daughters, Jane L. (and George) Winkel of Vero Beach, Fla., and Judy Dunham of Vero Beach, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, 13 step-great-grandchildren and two foster great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and five step-great-great-grandchildren; six brothers, Robert Henderson of Farmington, Mo., Adrian Henderson of St. Genevieve, Mo., Thomas Henderson of Bloomsdale, Mo., Ernest Henderson of St. Charles, Mo., William Henderson of St. Charles, Mo., and Donald Henderson of Richardson, Texas; and one sister, Marjorie Link of Reno, Nevada.

One granddaughter preceded her in death.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lincoln.
