Oasis update     Send a link to a friend

[AUG. 11, 2004]  The Oasis, Logan County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County senior citizens, regardless of membership.

Potluck and bingo Thursday

Fried chicken and watermelon are featured for the potluck starting at 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Bring a dish to pass or a $3 donation. Stay for bingo, sponsored by The Oasis, starting at 1:30 p.m. There will be surprise prizes and a lot of laughs.

August birthday party

Join us on Monday, Aug. 16, at 1:30 p.m. for the monthly party honoring all "Leos." Bring a friend, play games and enjoy the entertainment, cake and ice cream.

Tuesday lunch

Pick up your $3.50 ticket by noon Monday, Aug. 16, for the Tuesday lunch of spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, dessert and drink. If you stay and play pinochle or table games, lunch is only $3.

Christine March and Larry Van Bibber were the weekday pinochle winners. Larry Van Bibber and Henry Warnisher won on the weekend.
