LINCOLN -- Mackenzie Elise Horn,
infant daughter of Jason Horn and Brooke Johnson, was
stillborn at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004, at Abraham
Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
A graveside service will be at 10
a.m. Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery, Waynesville. Tony
Billingsley will officiate.
Quiram Funeral Home, Atlanta,
handled arrangements.
Surviving are her parents, of
Lincoln; her paternal grandmother, Theresa J. (and Charles)
Funk of Armington; her paternal grandfather, David (and Renee)
Horn of Decatur; and her maternal grandmother, Donna Cole of
Florida.
Her
maternal grandfather, Anthony Johnson, is deceased.

LINCOLN -- Donna Lee Charron, 66,
of Lincoln died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004, at 6:15 a.m. at St.
John's Hospice in Springfield.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7
p.m. Thursday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the
funeral home, with Allen Dean officiating.
Burial will be in Irish Grove
Cemetery, Middletown.
Mrs. Charron was activity
director at Lincoln Developmental Center before she retired.
She was born Dec. 17, 1937, in
Lincoln to Joe and Alma Agnew Carr. She married Arnold “Arnie”
Charron on April 4, 1954, in Lincoln.
She is survived by her husband,
of Lincoln; three sons, Terry (and Clara) Charron of Mount
Pulaski, Rick (and Carol) Charron of Lincoln and Steve Charron
of Clarendon Hills; one daughter, Lori (and Brian) Bleess of
Montgomery, Texas; eight grandchildren and two
stepgrandchildren; one great-grandchild and seven
step-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Janet Smith of
Crosby, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her
parents.
She was a member of Middletown
Presbyterian Church and the Red Hat Club.
Memorials may be made to her
church or to St. John's Hospice in Springfield.

ARMINGTON -- Lorinda K. Franks,
56, of Armington died Monday, Aug. 23, 2004, at 11:20 a.m. at
BroMenn Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8
p.m. Thursday at Quiram Funeral Home, Atlanta.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m.
Friday at the Eminence Christian Church, rural Atlanta, with
Andy Glass officiating.
Burial will be in Atlanta
Cemetery.
Mrs. Franks taught 31 years in
the Olympia school district. She retired in 2003.
She was born Dec. 28, 1947, at
Lincoln to Richard P. and Wilma L. Bavester Howser. She
married Mark Franks on June 20, 1987, at Atlanta.
She is survived by her husband;
two sons, Dal Bristow of Naperville and Ritchie Bristow of
Savoy; one stepdaughter, Elizabeth Franks of Orlando, Fla.;
two stepsons, Scott Franks of Atlanta, Ga., and Tom Franks of
Orlando, Fla.; two grandchildren, Ella Bristow and Francis
Bristow; one stepgranddaughter, Isabel Franks; a
sister-in-law, Debbie (and Alan) Stockner of Metamora; two
aunts, Carmon Gillard and Janette Taylor, Grayville; and
several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Armington Rescue
Squad or the Atlanta PTO.

MASON CITY -- Kenneth Eugene
Garner II, 44, formerly of San Jose, died Monday, Aug. 23,
2004, at his daughter's home in Harriman, Tenn.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8
p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church, Third and Race
streets in San Jose. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at
the church, with the Rev. Steven Tassell officiating.
Burial will be in Green Hill
Cemetery, rural San Jose.
Hurley Funeral Home of Mason City
is handling arrangements.
Mr. Garner was a coast-to-coast
truck driver.
He was born Feb. 4, 1960, at
Hopedale to Kenneth Eugene and Helen E. Morrison Garner.
He is survived by his mother, of
San Jose; his son, Keith A. Garner of San Jose; his daughter,
Susan (and Kevin) Henderson of Harriman, Tenn.; brothers
Warren Garner of San Jose and Kevin (and Jean) Garner of
Springfield and a half brother, Steven (and Diane) Garner of
Mesa, Ariz.; a sister, Karen (and Mike) Watkins of
Carlinville, and a half sister, Cathy (and Jim) Radar of Pekin;
and an adopted granddaughter, Jessica Kellis.
He was preceded in death by his
father and a half brother, Robert.
Memorial contributions may be
made to the family or to the First Baptist Church of San Jose.
Viola Schmidt

LINCOLN -- Viola C. Schmidt, 88,
of Lincoln died Monday, Aug. 23, 2004, at 7:20 a.m. at St.
Clara's Manor.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m.
Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Dan
Wissman officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
at the church.
Burial will be in New Union
Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Mrs. Schmidt was organist at
Immanuel Lutheran Church for 42 years. She was also a piano
and organ teacher.
She was born Nov. 17, 1915, at
New Holland to Herman and Marie Schreiber Buse. She married
Leslie F. Schmidt on March 10, 1934, in Lincoln. He died March
9, 2003.
She is survived by one son, Elvin
(and Carol) Schmidt of Lincoln; one daughter, Carol Fink of
Bloomington; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and
two great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by
two brothers and five sisters. She was the last of her
immediate family.
She was a member of Immanuel
Lutheran Church in Lincoln and the Musician's Union.
Memorials may be made to the
church.
