"Picnic" is based on the tale of a
stranger who comes to town and unwittingly becomes a catalyst for
change. "Picnic" shakes up the lives of its typical characters,
dredging up suppressed feelings and buried resentments. In this
Pulitzer Prize-winning classic, Inge depicts the pleasure -- and the
pain -- of risking everything to choose your own path.
Show time is at 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2; Friday, Dec. 3; and
Saturday, Dec. 4; with a matinee performance at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec.
5.
Ticket prices are $5 for adults, $3 for children and senior
citizens. To reserve tickets, call (217) 732-3155, ext. 280, Monday
through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
